The one thing you regret most about being pagan?
The fact that it is so looked down on, and misunderstood by everyone outside of the path.
Living in the Bible Belt, it's particularly rough to be Pagan. Anyone who is Pagan is pretty much 'in hiding' so it's almost impossible to find like minded people. I regret that I can't tell the bulk of my family who/what I am, and that I have to pretend to be something I'm not when I'm around them, or talking to them on the phone. To 'come out' would only create problems for me, and possibly the loss of some of my family. Being Pagan is a hard path, but not one I'm willing to give up. So, I'll continue to compromise, even though I hate that I have to.

Re: The one thing you regret most about being pagan?
I have no true regrets. I miss having a coven but am happy being solitary. The people that do not understand me I no longer worry about. I have to keep quiet in some circles and that is okay too.
I guess I regret being afraid of putting a bumper sticker on my car for fear someone would tear the car up but I can't but a political sticker for the same reason. lol
All in all I am not regretfully just thankfully

I'm not really a Pagan, I think, so I can't really say much. Also, here in Germany, people are generally very relaxed about religion, which makes things easier for everyone.
Even so, there is little I regret. Maybe missing people to talk to, but I hope that some of the fellow students at my school are leaning into a similar direction.

I like being in a religious minority. And I rarely hide my religious believes. If people think less of me for them then that is their problem.

Re: The one thing you regret most about being pagan?
Playful, I'm glad that you have no regrets. I wish it were that easy for me. So many Pagans/Witches just can't 'out' themselves because of repurcussions within family, community or work.
Case in point: Someone very close to me works in a hospital. She wears (or used to) a bracelent that has a pentacle on it. She's a floor secretary. A nurse (I think it was) grabbed at her bracelet, to pull it off of her, pretty much saying it was offensive to her. When my friend mentioned that the cross necklace the nurse wears was offensive to her, the nurse backed off a little.
Why does one religion have so much power over all the others?
Firle, I can't say if you are, or aren't Pagan, but from what I know of you, you lean that way. I think you're more comfortable in a Pagan type lifestyle, even though it may not be fully Pagan (which is just fine). I hope you find some others close to you to talk with. Sure helps.
Raven, I see some typical teenage rebellion here...lol....nothing wrong with that in this case. And good for you for not caring what other people think.
Yes, it is their problem if they can't accept you for you, but in so many cases, while a person can hold that philosophy, it can come back to bite them in the butt. Outsiders can be very harmful, either of the person, or the person's property (home, car, outside pets, etc.). It's human nature to be afraid of what we don't understand, and some people carry that fear way too far.
The only people I care about how they feel, is my family. Anyone else really doesn't matter on this issue.
I don't go around blabbing that I'm a Witch, but I don't go to extremes to hide it, either. I never take off my Celtic pentacle (except for surgery and such), and at Halloween, I dress the part, but not with ugly green face. With all black clothing (dressed rather nicely), my hair done nice and my black velvet cape. And, I go to town....to Walmart or elsewhere. In the winter, I wear my cape as a coat if I'm dressed up nice for a party or some such. Doesn't have to be at a Pagan's house, either.
I am known for liking to be a bit different. Always have been. Being on the Pagan/Witch path allows me the freedom to continue to do that....
I guess I still have a little of that teenage rebellion in me too...LOL.

Saijen, lol I can't take my Celtic pentacle off it I wanted too. Had it tattooed on my left upper arm 6 years ago.
It is sad that the Christian faiths have an upper hand. My daughter does not wear her pentacle at work because of it being a Catholic Hospital she figures why start trouble.

Re: The one thing you regret most about being pagan?
lol, I guess "teenage rebellion" is a good way to put it. I know some people can cause harm but I am lucky in that most people I know who are afraid of it tend to stay away from me all together. I suppose that is due to the (mostly) untrue rumors that were flying around the school.
As for my family, they think tis a phase that will pass and are more amused by it then anything.

Raven, you're lucky that your family is more amused than upset by it. My family would have a full blown hissy fit (they are all Christian).

My dad is Christian. I don't think he really cares what religion I choose. I suppose that is lucky...

my only regret is not having found like minded folks sooner. And yes living in the bible belt is tough.
