Looking at one's inner self

This is something I need to do, but have no clue on how to do it. See, I got rid of so much baggage lately, that I'm having a hard time recognizing myself.

Are there any rituals, any exercises, any journeys that can help?

I like to go among trees,, bigger the trees the better.
Sit among the quiet and not think of anything other than the beauty of the trees.

Another one is handspinning fleece on a spinning wheel. Just something so peaceful about it for me. Can let ones mind relax and only think of the moment.

Is really hard at first because,,life, worries and thoughts come leaking in. Have to remind myself to push them back and or let them go.

Sounds like you just need something that will center you.

some form of isolation from the modern world, no cell phones etc, a good old fashioned "primitive camping trip" well maybe take a cell phone, but leave it off unless there's an emergency.

Do you meditate?

Yogic teachings would suggest that a way to look at your inner self is to meditate, regularly, starting with small amounts of time, and increasing the time. let me know if you want details about breathing or mantras (what to say to yourself to focus your mind inward.)

I would also think meditation would be a good form of looking at one's inner self.

Even a half trance (much like meditation)..where you can almost visibly see what's in there.

Like Ranting and Bergere [sign in to see URL] somewhere quiet. Somewhere that makes you feel calm and peaceful. A place that you're not likely to be bothered by people, traffic, phones, radios, [sign in to see URL]. NOthing worse than trying to meditate and the phone rings, or someone knocks on the door.

Good luck with this journey, sister!! emoticon

Thanks, Cat and Saijen.

I've tried to meditate, but can't seem to find the inner peace at the moment. (Another four days of migraine are making it a little difficult right now.)

Ah, well. So much going on inside me, it's sometimes scary, and sometimes making me feel like high up on a rollercoaster.

Ouch,, those kind of headaches does make it just about impossible to center ones self.

Once you are feeling [sign in to see URL] again.
I do not meditate per say. Just let my mind go blank and not think of any thing and sit quietly. Just enjoy the wind in the trees, the birds singing and such like that.

Do understand, there are times exspecially now, with what is going [sign in to see URL] I am unable to focus or help [sign in to see URL] do not have the strength.

Hope you are feeling better and stronger soon.

check out a book called evolutionary witchcraft. Lots of good ideas in there. I haven't finished it yet but like what I've read so far.

Word of warning, be prepared to work. Lots of examples to go through
