Auras.....do you see them? Is it important?

I don't see auras like I'd like to. I see them more if I'm about half asleep, or if I'm medicated.
I'd love to be able to just look at someone and see their aura...or an animal or plant.
I don't know how to hone this. I think it's neat for those that don't even think about it, but can see auras very clearly.

As for being important. In some ways, I think they are. It enables us to get a good grasp on what a person is all about without even talking to them. That's another reason I'd like to be able to see auras.
In other ways, it's not imperative that they're seen. It's just a neat thing to be able to, I think.

Anyone else>

I have to work at it to see auras, I think an aura can give you a good idea of how a persons is feeling and what might need to be healed.

I have been told to not look direct but use a soft focus having a person stand against a light colored wall.

To learn how this soft focus should feel get a book of those hidden pictures or one of the posters. Practice staring at it until the image pops out easily. I use to have one that had a pack of wolves hidden in it.

Can also practice by looking at your own reflection in a mirror or glass.

I tend not to use auras by sight but that is because I feel the aura and energies around people.

I don't see them at all. I wish I could, but so far, I've not managed to.

Yes sort of, ever since my near death experience. I don't know really how to describe it. I don't see them visually, it's more of some other sense apart from the physical. I can also sometimes feel it over the phone, but not usually on TV (some really strong ones do come through). There normally has to be a sort of physical proximity. Yes plants and animals have them too. I mentally assign a color really only because that's the only way I can relate to it when talking to others. I've found it very helpful in identifying those with malicious intent

Interesting view, Ranting, of 'feeling' the arua rather than seeing it.
In some cases, I think that's probably what I do, only I never equated it with an aura, so much as the spiritual character of the person....maybe I need to rethink that. Well, now that I read what I just wrote..I guess the aura IS the spiritual character of a person LOL. DUH!! It never occured to me till now. WOW, do I feel stupid....LOL.

It's almost a sixth sense type thing, you just get a 'feel' about someone...if they'e a good or bad person. an honest, lonely, clingy type person. I suppose, in a way, that can count as an aura of sorts, to....eh?

yeah, if you "get a good or bad vibe" that's the same thing. From what I've read of "seeing" auras literally, The writings always were of a style such that I wondered about a pharmacologic influence. I'm not saying it's not possible, just that there is a consistent trend.

Re: Auras.....do you see them? Is it important?

One of my daughter's can see an aura...the actual color. She and I don't see each other often, but she can always tell what mood I'm REALLY in, by what color my aura is. And it's not a habitual thing, as I didn't raise her, and we've not spent enough time together at one time for her to know my "quirks".
One time a few years ago, she was here visiting. I was doing something on the computer, and she said "Mom, what's wrong?" I said "Nothing, why"....she saw that I had a really red aura, and she knew I was angry. I was angry, at someone online, something that was being said about someone else...but she had no way of knowing that. So, the fact that the colors can be seen, as well as, apparently, felt, is there. It just amazes me.

does the visual aspect of the aura block the view of anything in the physical world?

No, it's kind of a sheer color, from what I understand.

Dragging up this old topic, I learned to see auras a few weeks ago, and found that I can see them perfectly once I take my glasses off! (I'm nearsighted, and it seems that simply makes it easier to use this not-quite seeing look.)

Have any of you experienced something simliar?
