Bowling Green KY A DAY off the Farm (Midwinter BAll)

Come join us in a celebration of the Winter Solstice, which signifies the
coming nights will become shorter and shorter and reminds us of the promise
of warm days ahead.

---> Enjoy the dramatic enactment of the Winter Queen and her Sun Prince at
the moment of the Solstice, as well as several stage performances by Divina
Kohl, and periodic readings, poems and stories to express the season;

---> Enjoy a full banquet with refreshments through the night;

---> A costume contest, a silent auction, and door prizes every other hour;

---> Check out our upper level where we will feature card readers, vendors
and merchants, and much more; (Merchants, please see the bottom of this letter!)

---> We will hold an optional Solstice ritual at 11:00PM, as well as a sunrise ritual.

On December 21st, 2007, the festivity begins at 10:00 PM CST, and as we will
stand vigil for the Sun’s arrival, it will end at approximately 7:30 AM.

It will take place at
The Houchen's Center
1115 Adams St.
Bowling Green, KY 42101

and will be, of course, an elegant occasion.

Ticket prices are $[sign in to see URL] per person, $[sign in to see URL] for a couple, and must be ordered
prior to December 1st, 2007. There will be limited space available! To do so, please visit [sign in to see URL], where you will find more information.

(If you would like to donate any items to the silent auction, please let me know!)

MERCHANTS: if you are interested in having a booth at the event, please
contact me at kentuckypaganpost@[sign in to see URL] and I
will be happy to send to you info on our rules for setting up. The fee will
be $[sign in to see URL] with one table, with an addition $[sign in to see URL] if you will be bringing an
extra table.

I wonder why this is showing as a new post since no one has posted on it for awhile.
Are there strange little spirits in the forum?

Now - this sounds interesting. Has anything more been done.

And I bet they are advertising now, so vendors and silent auction people will ahve time to make their wares.

some friends of mine make hammered dulcimers and similar musical instruments. Is this something they might consider setting up a booth? Or are the patrons likely not going to consider paying 100+ bucks on a hand made musical instrument? Would it realistically be a waste of their time?

I tried going to the link but it wouldn't open. Seeing as most things wont open today it's probably our computer and not the link

Ranting - I tried the link too. Looks like there was just a slight omission (the .htm part). Try this:

Sounds like quite an extravagent event - and for only $6!
