The Ghost
This is a Danielle Steele book, and it was so hard to put it down. It's a pretty thick book.
"With a wife he loves and an exciting London-based career, architect Charles Waterston's life seems in perfect balance. Nothing prepares him for the sudden end to his ten-year marriage, or his unwanted transfer to his firm's New York office. Christmas is approaching when Charlie leaves New York, heading to Vermont to ski. But a sudden snowstorm strands him in a small Massachusetts town. There Charlie meets an elderly widow who offers to rent him her exquisite lakeside chateau. Hidden deep in the woods, it once belonged to a woman who lived there two centuries before named Sarah Ferguson. And from the moment Charlie sets foot inside the chateau, he feels her presence"
Charlie's wife leaves him, and he's bitter. He ends up going on a leave of absence from the NY office, to figure out exactly what he wants to do. Sarah is very a prominate presence in the chateau, and through certain means, helps Charlie overcome his bitterness toward his ex wife...and in turn, Charlie helps someone else.................
And that's all I'm sayin LOL

Re: The Ghost
I've seen a few Danielle Steele books made into movies on TV. While not the best productions I can think of, the stories seemed compelling!

Re: The Ghost
Sounds cool. I like stories about "good" ghosts.

Re: The Ghost
Me too, Firle! I love just about anything that has to do with the Paranormal, or with Pagan life. I just bought a new book today..not had a chance to read any of it..DH decided he was going to read it first LOL.
It's actually 3 books in one....it's called
"Beyond Magic"...it has a story by Susan Kearney, one by Elaine Cunningham and one by Kassandra Sims.
I'll let ya know what I think after I am allowed to read it LOL
