Wow, what a mess! And what intuition, Saijen!

I'm in awe that you managed to straighten all this out well ahead of the date. Wonderful work!

[sign in to see URL], Firle.
Thing is, I was told by the ordering doc's office to ask about any prep when I went for my upper GI thing on Friday. [sign in to see URL] [sign in to see URL] one knew anything, and since the Nuclear med lady wasn't there, I was told to call this morning to talk to her and ask my questions. I'm glad I remembered to do that!! I can't begin to imagine the mess had I not remembered!!!! emoticon ROTFL. At least I can laugh about it.

[sign in to see URL] think I am officially about to lose it.

I have been pretty sore since Friday from being on my hands and knees getting the Astilbes in the ground. No biggie really, but it's cost me some sleep because I can't relax when I lay down. I spent the biggest part of the night last night in my rocker/recliner again, with the heating pad on the middle of my back. I FINALLY managed to crawl into the bed at around 6:30 or so this morning and I was able to fall asleep. I was sleeping sooo good and my phone rang. It was my FNP's nurse calling to tell me they got the results back from the Upper GI CT scan I had had done on Friday. It shows some kind of mass in my [sign in to see URL] real sure exactly WHERE in my abdomen though, and they are hoping it's just ovarian cysts. [sign in to see URL] 9:30 in the morning I have to go to the hospital to have 2 different ultrasounds [sign in to see URL] I have to make it to the FNP's office for an already set appt. at 10:30, and have a pap done (that had been set in motion MONTHS ago).
This mess just keeps getting better and better! emoticon NOT!
I have no idea when the FNP will get the results back from that. As soon as I hear something, I'll let y'all know what they found.
I called my DH and told him, and I'm barely keeping it together at the moment. I don't think it's cancer, because there's no evidence in any of the bloodwork I've had done that cancer is present in any shape, fashion or form. What's got me upset is [sign in to see URL] THIS what's been making me so sick, or is this just an additional problem that I have to deal with.
I guess it's back to research to get info on ovarian cysts!! *sigh*

Well, I sure hope it's something that can quickly be handled and that it is a major contributing factor to your health issues right now. Just think how great that would be if they found the root cause and can eliminate it! Let us know when you here something.

One thing I DO know is that it's not cancer. With all the bloodwork I've had done, it would have shown up to some degree, and all my blood work has come back normal.

Texas, I had considered just [sign in to see URL], what if this is the cause of me being sooo sick. Is this something easily taken care of and all of that good stuff.

As the day progressed, the garbage just kept coming. I called DH and told him about the call from the FNPs office, and he told me he was on his way home from one of his buildings about an hour away.
About a week ago, he had to have his company truck put into the shop for a new [sign in to see URL] kept getting a message on his dash that his battery was not charging. [sign in to see URL] alternator in. Truck ran fine till today, and he started getting the message again. He makes it home, and decides to go with me to run my errands. I've been having some issues with my SUV, but nothing I've not been able to handle. It acted up at first, but then cranked and all seemed fine. We got half way up the road and it just stopped running. Let me back up a [sign in to see URL] last fall, we had to put a new fuel pump on because the engine wasn't getting fuel to it. [sign in to see URL], it seems we have to play musical fuses sometimes in order to get a connection to work on the fuel pump. [sign in to see URL] biggie to [sign in to see URL] know how to do it.
We got to the first [sign in to see URL] supply house to get a new CPAP mask for me. DH turned the car off. When I came back out to go across the street to one of the 2 labs I had to go to today, he told me that the ignition was messed up. You couldn't turn the car all the way off, and it wouldn't crank. I go get what I needed from the lab while he worked on the [sign in to see URL] it was still being a pain for about 10 minutes after I got back across the street. He finally got it started, and we said we'd not turn it off again till we got home. It did fine from that point.
Got to the pharmacy to get my meds. The way our insurance prescrption thing is set [sign in to see URL] are $8, some name brands are $35, but most name brands are $70. The ONLY $70 med I am on finally went generic about 2 weeks ago. As I was checking out, I noticed that one of the meds was that high one, and I asked which one. The one that went generic recently. I made them change it to the [sign in to see URL] it was STILL $70. You can be sure I called BCBS when I got home to find out why. Apparently, it is an exclusive [sign in to see URL] meaning only one company is making it right now. It will be an exclusive for 180 from the day it hit the open [sign in to see URL] months give or take. After that time, it will go from a $70 to an $8 med. In the meantime, I think I'm going to see if I can go to the regular form of this med and take 3 pills a day to equal 1 pill of this newer generic form of this med. After the 180 days, I'll go back to the newer form.
It seems that the proverbial schnit just kept hitting the fan today!! LOL.
I'm still alive and kicking though, so I've made it through the garbage!!! emoticon

I certainly hope everyone else has had a much better day than I have had!!!!!

Exclusive generic? Ugh, that sounds like double talk for "we're gonna squeeze all the money out of you we can." Yes, I know drug research costs a lot of money. Just seems like there's a better way to handle things like this...

Sorry to hear about the car! Car troubles are the worst - especially when it's something that only goes bad some of the time. I hate shelling out a ton of money to fix it when it might run fine for many months. I'm dealing with that on my truck right now. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and just pay the $600 for the permanent fix since I've spent enough time fiddling with it. Ah well, did my taxes and I'l getting a good enough return to cover that, the new chicken coop setup and a corral for the donkey!

Yeah, Texas. Only one company is making it right now, and until the rest of the companies are on-board, the cost will be the same as a name brand. Which I find extremely [sign in to see URL], that's just me.

I've learned a little more about the mass in my abdomen. It is NOT ovarian cysts. It's in the middle of my pelvic region where my uterus used to be, and it's about the size of a large navel orange. I actually saw it on the ultrasound screen yesterday. My FNP should have gotten the results either late yesterday, or she'll get them sometime today. I imagine that since it's pretty large it will have to be removed. Oh yippee fun!! emoticon Life sure isn't dull lately!!! LOL. A bit [sign in to see URL] not dull!!

And, I think I may have figured out what some of my sleeping problem [sign in to see URL] possibly the being ill stuff.
I am on 2 medications for my Bi-Polar; Effexor XR and Tegretol. I've been on the Tegretol for well over a year now, but was just put back on the Effexor XR when I was in the hospital this past December. When I really started getting sick all of the time. I had ran out of the Effexor about a week ago, and even though I called in the refill, I didn't go get it till yesterday. The entire time I was NOT taking it, I felt pretty good. As soon as I took the first pill, the next day I felt awful again. SO, when see my med manager, I'm going to see what we can do about changing my meds and see if that makes any difference at all.
Not to mention, I am feeling extremely exhausted again. Something I've not really felt this past week. It's got to be one or more of my meds!! Guess it's time to play musical meds again... emoticon

I will post Ultrasound results and doc recommendations as soon as I get them. emoticon

You know, it can very well be the meds - and that's no coincidence that you feel good while you are not taking one of them. Hope your doc can figure out a way to keep you awake! I'm glad you could make that connection.

About that mass, well, I hope it's all good and they can take care of it easily.

*sending lots of hugs and healing* emoticon
