ONce you finally get to them, you'll have to tell us what you thought of them in the "Library". I used to love to go 'yard-saleing'...but, like muladzh said, most here are crap loads of old clothes and mostly just junk. It's rare to find anything I need or want. Right now, if I found one that had some baby items I would be interested, as I do keep my neice and she could sure use a few more things here, like a seat, eventually a highchair, and such. Just have to wait till I get my car fixed.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Saijen SilverWolf)Tue, 16 Jun 2009 18:32:53 +0000 Re: Yard sale findshttps://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p231579,from=rss#post231579https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p231579,from=rss#post231579We have filled three dumpsters with out junk, and none of it was worth selling. nondisclosed_email@example.com (muladzh)Tue, 16 Jun 2009 05:54:53 +0000 Re: Yard sale findshttps://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p231575,from=rss#post231575https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p231575,from=rss#post231575Another good one! I have a cousin whose hobby it is to shop garage sales and then resell things on ebay. He actually makes a good bit of money doing it. At first, he started just because he loves to shop garage sales and had too much stuff so he started to sell old acquired items. But now he just shops for resale. Makes me wonder what hidden treasures I have in my own junk piles!nondisclosed_email@example.com (TexasMadness)Tue, 16 Jun 2009 03:24:19 +0000 Re: Yard sale findshttps://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p231573,from=rss#post231573https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p231573,from=rss#post231573Thanks! I admit that I "eyeball" them from the street. Most times you can tell if it's worth your time or not just from what you can see from the car. I may have missed a few "treasures" by doing this, but my time is more important to me. We don't actually need anything (and don't have much money) and the only reason I even headed out was because an ad for one caught my eye saying they had canning supplies (all gone before I got there). But that's where I got the bin toy organizer for my kids so it wasn't a waste. Then I just kept my eyes peeled and stopped at every single one I saw a sign for on the way home. Just didn't realize there would be sooooooo many that day I also bought an old fashioned washboard for a dollar. Hmmmm...... I noticed the company name and opened up another window to find it. http://www.columbuswashboard.com/products.htm Model#2062 Maid-Rite, Brass, $26.00 It's even the family sized one. Cool beans. Now I have something potentially useful to hang on my wall! nondisclosed_email@example.com (PerpetuallyCurious)Tue, 16 Jun 2009 02:59:27 +0000 Re: Yard sale findshttps://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p231571,from=rss#post231571https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p231571,from=rss#post231571me neither - all the sales round here have broken toys and old clothes.. very upsetting. nondisclosed_email@example.com (muladzh)Tue, 16 Jun 2009 00:47:24 +0000 Re: Yard sale findshttps://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p231547,from=rss#post231547https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p231547,from=rss#post231547Great find! Garage sale shopping can be a fine art if you are really good at it. I never seemed to find anything! nondisclosed_email@example.com (TexasMadness)Mon, 15 Jun 2009 18:36:49 +0000 Re: Yard sale findshttps://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p231544,from=rss#post231544https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p231544,from=rss#post231544A great find - lucky you!nondisclosed_email@example.com (muladzh)Mon, 15 Jun 2009 17:03:26 +0000 Re: Yard sale findshttps://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p231540,from=rss#post231540https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p231540,from=rss#post231540Wow, those titles sound very interesting! Congrats on getting them like this.    nondisclosed_email@example.com (Firlefanz)Mon, 15 Jun 2009 06:45:45 +0000 Yard sale findshttps://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p231537,from=rss#post231537https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p231537,from=rss#post231537Spent the morning going to yard sales Saturday. Bought a few things for the kids and scored some books for cheap to add to my collection. Would of like to had the chance to get to know the person selling them (they're moving). Judging from their book collection we would of had a lot in common. Anyhow I got (all 50 cents or a dollar) The book of Magical Herbs Encyclopedia of Celtic Wisdom: A Celtic Shaman's Sourcebook - Caitlin & John Mathews The Four-Fold Way: Walking the Paths of the Warrior, Teacher, Healer, and Visionary - Angeles Arrien Nature's Pharmacy: Your Guide to Healing Foods, Herbs, Supplements, & Homeopathic Remedies Keepers Of The Night: Native American Stories and Nocturnal Activities for Children and a book on making wreaths as well as one on making baskets. Now I just need to find some time to actually read them My to-read list slash library is going to be huge by the time I'm able to get to them!! nondisclosed_email@example.com (PerpetuallyCurious)Mon, 15 Jun 2009 03:29:47 +0000
