Consistency
I've all too often see people spout their religious views and morals...and then turn around and do just the opposite. Christians who say to turn the other cheek...and then seek revenge at the first opportunity. Wiccans that say "harm none"...but are more than happy to gossip and backstab their friends.
We all do it. We all have ideals and we all fall short of them. It's human nature. But I'm curious, how well do you think you live up to your moral convictions? Do you live a life consistent with your ideal?

Re: Consistency
I try to have unconditional love and understanding for all. I know however that I do not meet this goal every time. It is hard to love and understand a person whose views or actions you do not agree with.
When I fall short I ask the Goddess/God to forgive and help me see the person from a different angle.
Life is a lesson which I attend daily.
I try to learn by my mistakes.
I forgive others for their mistakes and remind myself that I need to forgive me too.
I fall, get up, and start over.
I thank the Gods for each day.
Each new day I try to be just a little better than the day before.
When I see a chance to make someone else's day a little better, I try to do so.
As my mom has decided just resently with my dad's illness that Love is:
L = Life
O = Over
V = Varied
E = Expreinces whether good or bad.
--- Love and Light
tree
May your journey be full of happiness and blessings

Re: Consistency
I like your philosophy playful!
I guess at this point in my life, I don't feel that I have "set" rules about a lot of things. My main moral motto is to treat people the way I want to be treated. Of course, I do fall short of this, but it's actually quite easy most of the time since it's the way I was raised. The times I catch myself doing something "bad" it's usually from oversight and not from actual ill intent.
I like the understanding for all...I think I may have read too much Richard Dawkins though...
