How do you clean?
What's the cleaning routine around your house? Who does the majority of it? Any special system or just do what needs to be done?

LOL!! That cracked me up!! 
I do pretty much all the cleaning, inside and out, except dishes (I HATE doing them!) altho I will do those as well if my wife isn't feeling well.
Since we added a third child (I'm a homeschooling SAHD) some things may pile up for awhile but I get to them when I can!

I FINALLY got back to cleaning today! For the past weeks (months?) since I got all the fun pregnancy symptoms, I pretty much turned into a slob. Hubby and I used to share cleaning chores. But I was the instigator. So when I turned into a nauseated slug, the house sorta fell apart - he keeps the kitchen clean (well, keeps things from getting too built up...) but that's all! So I finally had the energy to get up and go tonight.
He started working on his office (which is really a sight to behold...) and I tackled the master bedroom and bathroom. We are in the middle of remodeling the bathroom - just minor stuff: painting, tiling the backsplash, etc. But it made it so that we stopped using the room...except as a junk room. It was pretty gross!
The way we used to clean (and hopefully the way we will again) is that we have an hour every evening for cleaning. Each day of the week has a different "zone" (i.e. Monday: bedroom, Tuesday: living room, etc). It usually only takes 20 minutes or so to actually get the room clean, but then we do some kind of intense clean - wash windows, vacuum under furniture, take books from shelves and dust, etc.
It might sound a little "over the top". But hubby is NOT a cleaner and I'm so used to just cleaning up when I see a mess that if we don't have a system like this, I end up doing it all after work and...well, that makes me a little crabby when he's just watching tv or something!
It's kinda nice too just to spend the time together. Sometimes when I come home from work, we both get involved in our own things and we don't really get a chance to just chat. Cleaning forces us to not be doing anything fun that would distract us from talking!

Clean? What's that???
I do clean when I'm feeling able and have some energy. I tend to do more things like the dishes and dustmopping/vacuuming the floors. I also am usually the one who cleans the bathrooms. However, lately, DH has been doing the dishes and laundry more than I have. There's not much point in cleaning the floors at the moment because there is work going on in the livingroom (the ceiling no longer has a hole in it!!! YIPEE!!!) There is sanding going on in the livingroom where walls also needed some fixing due to the same leak that messed up the ceiling. We are also in the process of fixing the fireplace in the livingroom to accomdate a new gas log set, that, is, for now, sitting in FRONT of the fireplace (the fireplace is boarded up to keep out the cold). Then, there is all the rain and/or snow to deal with, which makes for really nasty shoes that SOME people seem to forget to take off at the back door, so they track in wet/mud/dirt, etc.
So..as I initially stated...What's clean??? LOL I may revisit this thread later when ALL our renovations are done....in other words...in a few years maybe
