Re: The perfect hot topic
Maybe.....not that bad, but perhaps others may want to replace their 'newer' jeeps with an older used one...

Re: The perfect hot topic
not bad at all, Muladzh!! It may not be a bad idea to let others know what you watch out for. While no one else may lose thier JK to fire, there may be one that could possibly, so, to let them know about this could potentially save lives. So...go for it.

Re: The perfect hot topic
wonderful on the insurance settlement!!!
If you do tell them, keep in mind that you are only doing so to help keep them safe. they need to hear your story, and see the photos!!

Re: The perfect hot topic
I have shown the pictures to total strangers who smiled at the jeeps, until they saw the pictures of mine. All want to get them looked at as soon as possible. The JK forum has all the details and pictures already - what I probably won't tell them is that my old TJ is way better than the Rubicon that burned. (Rubicon is supposed to be Chrysler's top Jeep Wrangler.)

Re: The perfect hot topic
Wow, Just read the entire thread.
So very glad no one was injured and happy to hear that you have a "proven" Jeep available and that the final settlement was better then feared.
May you find better fortune with your future endeavors!

Re: The perfect hot topic
Yeah on the settlement......
And their jeep does suck, so they should know that too.
Or at least know that since your Rubicon burned to the ground, you have been using your old TJ and it's still superior to the Rubicon...

Re: The perfect hot topic
Yay for the settlement! That's great news.
I agree with the others, people owning a JK should know about the danger. I'm glad you're telling them, just to get the warning out.
All the best for living in the desert.

Re: The perfect hot topic
told a guy today, in a brand new Rubicon, like my fried one, and he shouted at me, called me a liar, and refused to look at the pictures.. Told me he would fight me if I didn't go away. so, not wanting to kill anyone today, I went.
Told a woman in the supermarket parking lot, and she thanked me, and said she saw the smoke and wondered what it was.. It seems nearly everyone in town on the 18th saw the smoke.

Re: The perfect hot topic
I guess some don't like being told they made a bad choice. Glad the lady was reasonable.
