Re: Spring Equinox

You should have your air tested for Mold. As Queeny said it can really make you sick even a small amount.

[sign in to see URL]. Bad thing is, I don't have the time to get someone here right now. We're leaving either Sunday or Monday, and I'll be gone for 10 days, DH will be back after about 4 days, BUT, he won't be able to be here at the house during the daytime. I do think that I will see about calling to make an appointment for someone to come when I get back though. I am rather tired of having to deal with this stuff and we need to know exactly how to stop it. DH already has lung [sign in to see URL] since he was a kid. [sign in to see URL] have to see what can be done.

You might get someone out there when you get back and/or have your landlord have someone out. Maybe even they will pay for [sign in to see URL] you get terribly sick and sue them! emoticon

If you are going to be gone see if you feel better. If the symptoms go away. If they do then that's a good clue it's mold.

Re: Spring Equinox

Queeny, yeah, I seriously think the landlord needs to actually SEE what is happening. I noticed some more mold in a corner in the utility [sign in to see URL] to the back door. What I don't [sign in to see URL] is none in the back [sign in to see URL], we keep that door shut, so the room stays cool. But, even when my daughter lived here and that was her room, there was no mold in [sign in to see URL] 2 of it's 4 walls are outside walls, and it gets the brunt of the rain and sun! I don't get it. Not sure if it's due to too much moister in the ground, if there are leaks that we're not seeing or [sign in to see URL] yeah, I think the landlord needs to see [sign in to see URL] if a pro is called, he should be the one to pay for [sign in to see URL] [sign in to see URL] he would probably do. He's a good landlord, so can't complain too much.

Bec, I had thought the same thing. I know I will still have a sinus issue. Dad's house is the dustiest house I think I've ever come across. You can dust till the place sparkles, and in a few hours, it's all dusty again. I think that's one reason Dad gave up trying to dust the place LOL. Not sure I blame him!!! But, the other [sign in to see URL] headaches, the just general feeling of unwellness, [sign in to see URL] those go away, then it's a safe bet the mold is causing problems.

After looking at some photos, I'm not sure that the mold we have ISN'T black mold. In some of the photos, what they are calling toxic black mold isn't always [sign in to see URL] has a green tinge to [sign in to see URL] what we have here is a brown-ish color with a green [sign in to see URL] an Army khaki, but a bit darker brown (olive looking but more on the brown side).

And, it didn't help matters that we had a storm blow up really quick last night and it rained in the bedroom window and soaked the floor. We got it up immediately, but, who knows!

Either way we go, can't do anything till we get back from Alabama

Definitely [sign in to see URL] hate to say this but you could seriously be damaging your [sign in to see URL]. emoticon
And our old house in [sign in to see URL] 'ground seep'...it just seeped into the walls from the surrounding [sign in to see URL] walls were always damp in the basement. [sign in to see URL] was just basically a dirt hole in the [sign in to see URL] tore down all the drywall and framing and left it as it had been [sign in to see URL] dirt HOLE. With the piping, septic and hot water heater down [sign in to see URL] was it. We never had a musty or moldy problem after that. The mold was living in the drywall and [sign in to see URL] the natural soil.

Re: Spring Equinox

[sign in to see URL] I have thought about, when I get back, maybe, if there are tests that can be done to/on ME, to see if some of my symptoms are actually related to the mold issue.

I've got to reschedule an appointment with our FNP [sign in to see URL], may bring this up when I call to reschedule.

One of the symptoms is fluctuations in BP, and man, mine is really weird. FNP has me on 3 BP meds, and BP is still too [sign in to see URL], maybe it's the [sign in to see URL] me!! I've had high BP since LONG before I moved [sign in to see URL] it was stable till the last couple of [sign in to see URL] the time the mold started showing up! [sign in to see URL] lungs bleeding thing kind of scares me! Don't think that is happening, but it COULD happen.
DH is FOREVER [sign in to see URL] of the symptoms is CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME!

Went ahead and made my [sign in to see URL] 19th, so that much is out of the way.

([sign in to see URL] sure did hijack this [sign in to see URL]'t we?)

Gotta call health dept. to get the name of someone to come and check this mold, [sign in to see URL] be interesting!

Well, spring is about life growing again - and once you kill that mold, your life can grow again.

Not too far off topic. emoticon

Spring is really coming here now, the bushes are getting ready to burst into leaf. I so love this time of the year.

And I love it too. All the trees here have lime green [sign in to see URL] and new. The Crap Apples are all a bloom and the fields are barely showing [sign in to see URL] and alpha so far. emoticon
