How do you keep 'Pagan'?
I mean, how do you not just fall into autopilot about life? For example, many Christians attend church every week. It's very easy for that to be on there minds on a regular basis.
How do you "be Pagan" on a regular basis - especially for those who are solitary? And not just those that are well defined Pagans here. How do you keep to your spiritual ways, whatever they are?
Me? I don't...
Sigh. Need inspiration! I'm not a ritual person but I'm so busy these days and the weather is crumby so I don't even sit in relax in nature all that often. I'm feeling disconnected!

Re: How do you keep 'Pagan'?
Every single night...without fail, I 'talk' to my Goddess, my Spirit guide and others...I thank them for my blessings..
And DAILY...I make it a point to see something beautiful, be it a flower, tree, bird...or even lizard, sunset, sunrise, the faces of people I love....whatever. I stop, and really LOOK...and thank the Goddess for that moment in time when I was allowed to look upon one of her many gifts...

Re: How do you keep 'Pagan'?
Texas, I'm kind of where you are, at the moment. Since our classes stopped and our coven disbanned, it's like I'm lost all over again.
I've not spent nearly as much time outdoors this past year as I usually do and I think I'm feeling that loss some, as well.
Not totally sure how to get back to a good point.

Re: How do you keep 'Pagan'?
Queeny, I think that might be one of the downsides of an atheistic path...there's no one to talk to...except myself! Having someone to listen would certainly help me be connected.
I like your second thought though - find something beautiful every day. I will work on that!
Saijen, this has been mentioned here before...online coven! I have NO idea how to pull it off, but if in someway we could all inspire each other, it would be great. I don't care if it's learning specific Wicca things or what. In fact, it would be great to be super eclectic and let each of us teach other our own paths. Could be very mind opening! How the heck do we do it?!?

Yes, it has...and to answer "how do we do it?" I'm honestly not totally sure how we would go about it. I know that if you're a Traditionally trained Wicca, you are sworn to secrecy about many of the rites and rituals..so that would be really difficult to do....however, maybe if some of that was mixed with other things, making it something other than Wicca...it could work.
Something perhaps you, Firle and I can discuss and work on figuring out.

Re: How do you keep 'Pagan'?
I did a little research. I think calling it a 'coven' is wrong. It would just be an online study group. I'm thinking of some ideas...expect a new thread about it soon!

Re: How do you keep 'Pagan'?
On line study group would be good...cause we are all definitely on different Paths! We are one perfect, dysfunctional family

Re: How do you keep 'Pagan'?
We couldn't, technically, call it a Coven, anyway, because we are not all Pagan, nor are we all Witches. We CAN call it a study group....or give it a cooler name, even....what that would be, I'm not sure yet....LOL....but I love the idea and I think we can make it work.

Well we could call ourselves...
F.A.M.I.L.Y.
F = Friends or Familiar
A = Atheist or Animism (the belief that natural objects and nature itself are alive and conscience.)
M =Magick or Mandala (object used to focus during meditation)
I = Inclusive or Invocation
L = Love or Logos (pagan greek term meaning "Word or Reason")
Y = Yin and Yang (Taoist belief that the Universe is made of pairs of opposing forces)

Re: How do you keep 'Pagan'?
Queeny, I love the idea, but I don't think it would work for a topic name. I think what you came up with would be something we could maybe incorporate in a description of board.
We need something that indicates a study group...without calling it just.....study group. LOL.
