Re: May I ask for your prayers, chants...whatever you have...for my Son

Queeny, who pays the bill doesn't have a thing to do with much of anything. When my middle daughter was 17, pregnant and in labor, it was up to her who was there with her. I had no say, even though everything was being paid for by her father's insurance AND the fact that she was a minor. We were still married at that time.
Sad is it seems, the hospital doesn't much care how worried a parent is...their focus is on keeping the patient calm, and if an argument breaks out between a parent and significant other....either nursing staff or hospital security will ask the patient who they want in there with them. If they say 'significant other' then the parent is just S-O-L. Age doesn't really matter....and the one(s) not chosen to stay can be told to leave and not come back. SO....be very careful how you handle things if you have to wait until the day of the surgery. You don't want to end up being banned, or for Cali to get banned, either, really. You also have to take into account their age. They are at that "I know it all, Mom and Dad don't know !@#$" stage. It goes away with time, but it's something all of us have to go through.

Had Chris already done the drinking thing? Is he an alcoholic? If not, it may simply be the meds, or a combination of the meds and extreme worry about what's happening to him.

I still would talk to the nursing staff..once he's settled into his room, about Cali's nightmares and Chris' reaction. Let them know that you're not saying you don't want her to stay (even if you don't want her to....saying that's not the case will help keep some anger out of the way), but you just want them to be aware of what could happen, and make a judgement call on how to handle it.
Could even go something like "I just wanted to give you all a head's up. My future DIL tends to have nightmares and Chris will wake from a dead sleep to tend to her. I don't care if she stays, but I felt you all needed to be aware of the potential for this to happen. My biggest concern is my son's recovery."
Also, they may have him in ICU after the surgery, since it is brain surgery. If that's the case...no one will be allowed to stay in the room with him. She can spend the night at the hospital, she'll just have to do it in the waiting room. So, keep that in mind as well.

Much healing, white light and calm peace being sent your way!!! emoticon emoticon

Queeny, I'm sorry I'm late in this thread. First of all, I'm sending YOU lots of hugs, because you need them even more than your son. The calmer you can be, the better you can help him.

I can see the trouble with Cali's nightmares, and I think Saijen did have the best suggestion: Tell the nurses about that complication and let them think up a reason to protect Chris from that. That way, you won't be to blame.

Do try to calm yourself. Your worrying will send the wrong energy into this field. Try to focus on everything working out perfectly. Run that visualization in your mind as often as you can.

I'm sending lots of good luck and healing.

Re: May I ask for your prayers, chants...whatever you have...for my Son

I did something different....I asked "MOM", not my MOM...but my Immortal son's "Mother"...(which I actually know for a fact, because she let me lift up her shirt in the back and you can see wings rippling under her skin....when it's time, they wil kill her as they rip out and off into the universe she will go) ....she is in mortal form at the moment and basically goes around doing what Muladzh does.
I've had her number since she met me and found out I was good with all this. I called..for the first time in 3 years.
In that room with my son was his immortal brothers and sisters...in Spirit form and in the room with Cali and Chris was her spirit guide and mine as well....
So it all went really well, except she was more needy than my own son....and I NEVER got to be alone with him once...she would not even go pee when I was there, and the day after I was there 6 hours.
I asked for "supreme" help I guess you could say.... emoticon

I love you all and thank you for your advice....you have helped me greatly. emoticon
AS for the drinking....Mother also said, "at most, he has a 'beer or A glass of wine with dinner"...so I'm good....

Queeny, I'm tickled that things are going well ....and a beer or glass of wine is OK, so I know you're relieved that's all he's having.

Good he's got that many people...spirit or otherwise...looking after him!

Glad things are looking better all the time. The drinking doesn't sound like a problem at all either. Good!

Last update...hopefully. emoticon
He's back at the apartment with girlfriend, hopefully she is keeping him on his drug schedule, they are both "enablers"....which is probably another reason they both failed last semester!

But the pain is much lessened. No "severe head days" in a week and after that stress, there should have been several dandy ones. Of course everything still hurts....I mean his head looks like this:

Image

The worst pain is from the neck muscle they had to cut a bit of. He has some numbness in his tongue, lip and ear.....may or may not go away, but as long as that horrible head pain is gone....he can deal with the annoyances.

Blessed be to you all for your help! Your Karma, energy and chants helped so much.... emoticon

Mercy, Queeny!! That's a pretty big incision. But it looks really good to be so fresh.
I am also keeping not only Chris in my thoughts and continuing to send him healing energies, but I'm also keeping 'Momma' there. I know what a worry wart you are, so I'm sending you calming white light and peaceful energy.

When I had to have the rib removed, they told me I'd have some numbness, but it would only be about the size of a quarter. Boy, did they miss it! The entire front part of my left shoulder is numb, as is a portion of my chest on the left side. They had to take out a chunk of the neck muscle, which caused a lot of nerve disruption and damage, plus they had to move a lot of nerves to get to the rib. I've learned to manage the numbness, but I have to be very careful that I don't put anything real hot or real cold there. I got a 3rd degree burn from a rice sock! So, be sure he knows to always be careful with anything hot, cold or sharp!!!
