The incision looks really good, they knew what they were doing there. No infection at all, may it stay that way.

Maybe it would have been better to post just a link so people could click on it if they wanted to. It can be a bit of a shock when scrolling down idly. emoticon

I hope that even all the numbness can go away. The brain is incredibly flexible, so it's entirely possible.

All the best for you, Queeny, and for Chris.

Here's something a bit scary.
I just overheard Hubby talking to one of his other workers on the phone....and this other guy said a friend of theirs, 35 year old son had the exact same surgery, last year at a different hospital back East. They barely nicked his brain stem, the kid/man has been paralyzed from mid neck down and in bed for over a year [sign in to see URL] makes us feel lucky for just a bit of numbness. It's a scary [sign in to see URL] heart goes out to them. emoticon

Any surgery near something THAT vital is scary, and hard. I'm so glad that Chris just ended up with numbness!

When they did my TOS surgery, they had to cut right next to my left lung, and just above my heart. Surgery generally doesn't scare [sign in to see URL] when they told me of the potential risks of that [sign in to see URL] SCARED ME!
One tiny slip and there goes my heart or lung!! I know how you feel, m'lady!!

Blessings for continued healing for Chris!! emoticon
