To Queeny and her family

Queeny's son will be in surgery in an hour. I'm sure everyone is at the hospital now. This time before the surgery might be more intense than the actual surgery itself, so I'm lighting my candle early!

May EVERYONE get through this surgery and the recovery in the most productive way possible!

TM, that's a wonderful thought. I shall light a real candle for them, as I'm sure surgery is going on now.

Lots of hugs for Queeny and her family!

Queeny, I posted a reply to the update on your board, but I also wanted to say that, while I was not here yesterday, you all were in my thoughts. I began Sunday night, sending peace, white light and healing, and continued....and will keep on until he's fully out of the woods and everyone can stop worrying!

It was not horrible to be relieved that the Code Blue was not for Chris.....it was a human..a MOTHER'S..reaction, and perfectly normal. I'm sure had the roles been reversed, the other family would have felt that same relief.

Try to get some rest..I know you well enough to know you're still worrying yourself silly...but, please, take care of you, too!!!

Last update I hope... emoticon
Sorry this took so long, but I never went on the PC from the day of surgery, update I did. The doctor seems to think it went very well. It's hard to tell if it worked for sure or not. As he still has "ghost" pain from that nerve, as they had to move it around, remove some cells that were pushing down on his vein, pushing it into the nerve, and they had to install that "Teflon" spacer and "cement" it in place to his skull, so it actually still hurts, as well as the 4 inch incision and now stitches, behind his ear and the dime size skull bone they had to remove and replace and the neck muscle on that left side had to be cut a little to get past it and fixed. And he's got more needle holes and IV holes (including a rather large one in his chest, which for a kid who is actually afraid of needles, was almost too much to bear when they pulled that sucker out!).....BUT.......he is now home with us and his girlfriend. We are staying in a campground right outside of town, about 20 minutes from hospital through the weekend, just in case we need to rush him back for anything.

He sees his neurologist again on the 26th to get the stitches out and until then, he's not allowed to bend over, (has to sit or kneel) to pick anything up. And he can't pick anything up that weighs more than 2 liters....like a medium sized milk container. He can't drive.....and is really not suppose to be a passenger either. I think that is because he's not supposed to raise his blood pressure and he also can get very dizzy easily...after all, he did have brain surgery!

He's still on a lot of pain meds and also still on his old meds. In a few weeks after seeing doc again, they will start to step him down from all the medications he's been on.

But.....all in all, keep your fingers crossed, he "seems" to NOT have the head pain (at least not in the same place or same way) as he did before. So it does look very good.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS, KARMA, AND ENERGY SENT....all was appreciated! Especially with one scare we had.... when he'd been under the knife about an hour and we hear over the speaker (we are in special ICU waiting room)..."Code Blue, Code Blue Room 14" (code blue there means heart stopped)....we had no clue what room he was in. So for a split second....we all freaked.....I actually dropped my wall completely, it was so heart-wrenching....of course then when a "Nun" came in to tell the other family it was their member...I felt all 11 people of that family's emotions all at once! emoticon
I just broke...even though I knew it was not my child...I felt them. Cali knew this..she called her spirit guide to find out for sure if Chris was okay so far.....then she had her send out mine to help me put my wall back up! And calm me.....I also sent out some healing energy to those other folks...their Mom as far as I know ended up in a coma, but had brain activity....she was dead. I hope it all works for them too.
BUT DAMN! That was like being a punching bag for Mohammad Ali! emoticon

Queeny, I am SO relieved to know Chris is out of the hospital and that the surgery seems to have worked for the brain pain. He may be in pain from the surgery, but one thing to keep telling him is that THAT pain will go away. It may take time, but it WILL go away. Don't let him forget that!

Will keep sending healing energies and the warmth of peace your direction!!!

We are back in Cruces.....Chris is back at his apartment with girlfriend. Hope he listens to the docs orders.....or Momma bear will kick the living daylights out of both of them... emoticon

Needless to say, his surgery pretty much went great. Won't know for sure for 2 more weeks. He does have some numbness on one side of his tongue, lip and a bit of his ear. Kind of to be expected as they had to MOVE his frickin' nerve, insert a Teflon pad between nerve and blood vessel and then basically "cement" it to the side of the inside of his skull! LOL Those feelings may come back, but even if it does not, it would be a small price to pay to get rid of that pain. But, he's not had one of his "severe Bad head days" in over a week....good sign! emoticon

AGAIN....blessed be to you all! emoticon
