Re: February Chat Thread

Queeny, don't you hate "upgrading" your electronics when you finally get used to your old one? I HATED switching to an iphone, but I've found that they've made their stuff so user friendly, that it's an easier transition than expected. If you do have to get an iPod touch anytime soon, I'm sure you won't take long learning it.

Just the usual stuff around here. Work, cooking, cleaning, etc! Leigh (the maid...still hate calling her that!) is coming tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it. She will work on the bedroom which she couldn't get to last time because it was a TOTAL PIT. emoticon

Yes, I do hate it....this iPod should last a good long time. We have the mini touch one in the car, so I doubt it will take much getting used too. My next big worry is going to be my cell phone! It took me forever to find one that slide open to type and would not 'butt' dial anyone.....
I'll bet the next time I go look, they will all be like "Smart phones" ....all touch! emoticon

TM!! STOP CLEANING....that is what Leigh if for! Enjoy it while you can... emoticon

Queeny...sorry to hear of the 'death' of your ipod! I hate having to buy new electronics, but not because of having to learn something new...but the cost!! emoticon Thankfully some things are less in price now than they used to be, but still....YIKES!

I'm sorry that you're having such bad headaches. I hate those...a regular migraine is bad enough, but a sinus migraine..... emoticon I hope you feel better soon!

Texas..I'm with Queeny....stop cleaning! Enjoy Leigh....then send her to me...LOL.

Another bad night last night with my leg. finally managed to crawl into bed about 10 after 5 this morning, but my leg woke me around 10:30. I finally said screw it and got up about 11..got tired of tossing and turning trying to find a comfortable way to lay. I think I'm going to call my FNP and have her refer me to a Rheumatologist. I'm still researching my symptoms, and so far, the only thing that comes close is Osteomyelitis (bone infection), but I don't have a fever. It is the only one of the symptoms I don't have! and one of the first listed possible causes of this is Diabetes, which I have, even though it's so well controlled right now I don't even need meds.

Other than fighting with my leg, not done a whole lot. DID find out that my daughter is having a girl...which I already knew...LOL....so, I will be digging in the closet where I keep my yarn and finding some to make a baby afghan out of.

That's pretty much it!! Pretty sad, huh?

Good Wednesday my friends!

My day consists... of already getting my shower, later need to clean the cat box, doing laundry (when don't I?) and getting supper ready.
I found out that the lady that did the arts and crafts fair in Sedona last year, where I got my two favorite skirts, is at the Fountain Hills Great Arts festival this weekend....that is only like an hour from us. So we'll be going on Saturday. Hopefully she will still have some things, she said she sold out of much of her stuff on Friday last year...but we have to work, so Saturday it is.

SAIJEN...I'm so worried about your legs hurting so. I do think it's time for doctors to investigate...again!
A little girl.... emoticon You are going to have so much fun making baby stuff.... emoticon

Re: February Chat Thread

Well guys, I have to make it so Leigh can SEE the floor so she can clean it! emoticon She's only coming once a month...and of course now we wish she was coming once a week! The house looks incredible today. Feels so good.

Woke up with a bit of a sore throat. Last night was the first time in a while that we slept with the humidifier off so I thought maybe it was just dry/scratchy. But as the day wore on at work, I could tell it wasn't just the throat. Ah well, I put in extra hours on Monday so I had no qualms about heading home and taking a long afternoon nap. Feeling better now, hopefully I can prevent this from going full blown. Willa's had a runny nose for about a week, so I'm blaming it on her! emoticon I never got sick while pregnant the first time, but apparently I'm exposed to more now (probably the toddler in the house...) so this will be the second time this pregnancy is this does take hold.

On the plus side, it means we are ordering pizza tonight since I don't want to wear myself out and hubby has to pick up the kiddo from my dad's house so won't have time. Silver lining! emoticon

Queeny, I bet you wish you had room for a larger washer/dryer sometimes LOL.

Sounds like fun this weekend. Hope the lady has something that catches your eye!!

Texas, man, not you too??!!!! My Aunt has this mess, my oldest daughter has it, Fenyx is still coughing from her bout with it..and so is my Mom. I hope you're able to knock it out!

Me......another bad night....this makes 3 in a row! Managed to get in bed a little earlier than the last 2 nights, but about 20-30 minutes after crawling under the blankets, my weather radio went off.....but it was an Amber Alert emergency. Some local kids were snatched last night by their parents....the kids had been removed from the home due to the parents drug use and incapability to really care for the kids. Anyway...finally got back to sleep, my leg woke me up around 4:30, got up and took a pain pill. Back to sleep, leg woke me again around 6:50....was awake when DH got in from his 'over-night' floor job around 7. He crawled into bed about 7:30..we both went to sleep, the stupid weather radio went off at 9 for it's weekly test, which they NEVER do before 11am....EVER (till today emoticon )....we went back to sleep, and my leg woke me again at about 10:30...I finally just got up. I've been fighting with it all day today. This is the kind of ache/pain that causes people to go insane!! It's like the Chinese water torture theory.....
Anyway...I've not done anything productive today but get some reading done on this month's book. Just a-chillin... emoticon

Saijen, so sorry to hear about your leg and the weather alert keeping you up! That's awful. Hope you leg will calm down soon and give you a rest.

TM: Sorry about the cough! Hope you can quell it - and do keep the humidifyer on.

Queeny: Good luck for the art fair, hope you can catch up with the Sedona lady. emoticon

As for me, I've been having a couple of rough days. Cough is coming back, which I hate and fear a little. I want to go back to riding, after all!

And yesterday, it took me two hours to get my computer started. It just wouldn't boot, and when it did, it got hung up on starting windows. So I called my ex in desperation, and he told me to remove the RAM bar we had put in last fall. Fortunately, he taught me how to do that the last time we tried to fix the computer. Sure enough, the computer started up fine, but then Windows had to reorganize itself which took another half hour!

It's possible the RAM is faulty, or it can be the socket where I placed it. I might experiment a little on the weekend, because I like my 4MB RAM, but I need a working computer more than the extra RAM.

After dealing with that, I was wiped. I had planned to work on the job application, but any computer fu had gone out of the window. Frustrating evening.

Re: February Chat Thread

Firle, I HATE dealing with computer stuff. I used to be the default computer guru at work because I knew one iota more than the rest of the folks that I work with. It was the absolute worst part of my job. About a year ago, we hired an outside IT company. Even now, when someone thinks they have a simple problem, the ring up my desk. I listen patiently and then just say "gee, you better call PC Doctors, that's just out of my league!" It usually sounds like something I can fix...but I've learned that one easy problem usually takes a whole afternoon of stressful work!

Feeling better this morning - not 100% but hopefully not down the path of truly being sick. All I have to do at work today is some research in the morning so I'm going to stay home and read in bed! emoticon Then in the afternoon I have a staff meeting so I'll head into the office.

Mmmm...and the pizza was good last night! Hubby served me in bed and Willa snuggled right next to me while we ate. We usually wash the sheets on Mondays but after finding a greasy wad of cheese in the middle of the night, I'm going to get hubby to redo them today! Toddler eating in the bed certainly isn't going to be a habit! emoticon

HI DI HO GANG!
Not much going on for me today. Other than having to clean our wee bathroom, the day is pretty much up to me.
Just hang out online, cause trouble....whatever!
As I was having my coffee this morning...2nd cup, a pair of Gambel's Quail ran right outside my window. She was not in as big a hurry as he was, and kept stopping to eat a bug or whatever...and he'd run back, "jabber" at her, and off they'd go again. Totally hilarious! emoticon

TM... I so hope you are feeling better. I think Hubby may be coming down with some thing too. He's been coughing and sneezing and blowing....it's that or we are allergic to something here. As I've had those danged sinus headaches/migraines since we got here. emoticon
Pizza in bed...now that is the way to go lady! emoticon

FIRLE..SO HATE COMPUTER PROBLEMS! And I am the worst techno turd you ever saw! emoticon I hope you can trouble shoot the problem.....ME? I'd probably just 'shoot' it! emoticon

SAIJEN....you better have the docs check on your legs. That pain is like son's trigeminal pain...there was a reason why his issue was called "the Suicide nerve" emoticon

Re: February Chat Thread

Queeny, I plan on seeing about getting one or the other of my regular docs to refer me to a Rheumatologist. Somehow, my ankle eased off from hurting last night, and it stopped a LOT of the leg pain...or vice versa...I'm not sure which is causing the pain, and which is painful due to radiated pain, but trust me, I do plan on taking this to the next level. I can't keep doing this.

Texas, how nice to get supper in bed....but...uh..not so nice on the lump of cold cheese in the middle of the night! emoticon I'd love to have been in your head when you felt that!!!! emoticon
I do hope you feel better soon!!!

Firle, you too....you need to feel better!!!! This mess you have sounds like what's going around here in the states. It takes MONTHS to get rid of the cough and the stuffiness. Mom had this between T'giving and Christmas and she still has issues. The thing that seems to help the cough here is Tessalon Perls. don't know if you can get those there or not, but if you can (they are prescription) it may be worth it for you. They help!!

For me and mine..I actually had some relief in my leg last night. My ankle bothers me a great deal so...not sure if the pain is from my ankle and radiates into my leg...or, if it's muscle pain that radiates into my ankle...either way the pain lessened last night. No idea what I did, but I managed to get into bed around 2:30 this morning. It's not as bad tonight, but worse than it was last night emoticon

Today was beautiful. Got up to about 73. when DH got home, we went out and picked up branches and sticks from the yard where they'd blown out of the trees, I raked some leaves out of one of the flower beds and out from under the butterfly bush, got a dead tree branch out of one of the trees (using an old hoe handle..lol). Then, DH and I sat on the porch for a long time and just talked, enjoying the sun and awesome weather.

Decided we were hungry, so we decided to try the just-opened Papa John's pizza place. Called, ordered a one topping pizza and cheese bread, DH went and got that. We sat here and watched TV while we ate...now I'm here.

Last night, we had a really nasty storm come through. A lot of lightning, thunder and extremely high winds. I'm surprised things didn't end up in the yard. The lights flickered quite a bit, but we never lost power. All in all, it lasted about 4 hours or so.

Saturday, I go to the Playhouse for a work day..this is the local theater I've mentioned before. Sunday is my great-niece's birthday party, and Monday I have to take my SIL to a dr. appointment...so, busy weekend ahead. All good stuff, tho.
