Well, my day started rather cold... but at least the winds have died down! Last night and most of yesterday we were rocking and rolling!
They had snow up in Flagstaff and winds up to 35mph with temps around freezing. This morning they had a windchill of MINUS 3 below Zero. Should have driven up there, to remind myself why I left MN! It's much cooler today, only 63 or so, but by this weekend back up into the mid 70'[sign in to see URL], need to hop in the shower when it warms up some and I finish my coffee. Then see if I can't run the vacuum between hubby's conference calls.... emoticon

Queeny, the art show sounds awesome! I love things like that, but DH just isn't into wandering through things like that, so I rarely push to go when we have shows of that nature here. Would LOVE to see pics of your new skirts! Are they the broomstick type skirts? I love those things! I'm so glad you and your DH had a good 2 days of wandering and you each found some things you were wanting.

Here is one foot stool, the other is exactly the same top and bottom color, but with the 4 Kokopeli musicians around the bottom.

And [sign in to see URL] my skirts are broomstick style, except for those Mexican style ones I bought in Mesilla, [sign in to see URL] just tossed these across the back of our couch...

Left to right as you look at them.
Left, Red/black pattern with [sign in to see URL] pattern with [sign in to see URL] layered [sign in to see URL] layered Sedona [sign in to see URL] last on the [sign in to see URL] layered sequined one.

Saijen.... I do believe you were very, very busy yesterday! At least you did not have to cook and you got COOKIES! emoticon

FIRLE...it's very important to keep those job applications up to date and with all the best info!
I hope you have a good [sign in to see URL] can get prepared for tomorrows presentation in the morning when you are bright eyed and fresh! emoticon

Firle, what fun, having to redo your resume`.....NOT. emoticon

I hope your presentation went well!

Queeny, love the foot stool! [sign in to see URL] skirts look like something I'd [sign in to see URL].

Today I managed to sleep late, then when DH got home from one of his buildings, we went to the drug store, grocery store and then to buy a lottery ticket.
Got home, I changed into my ratty clothes (my 'around-the-house' clothes) and did e-mails, fixed supper, now I'm here and we're watching NCIS-Las Angeles.

[sign in to see URL].&R. have decided on a name for 'Nugget'... her name (unless things change) will be Keira Lynn. That is SO much better than some they were considering! I love the name, and it rolls of the tongue nicely.

It's been warm enough today that we've had the doors open, and when we went to town, I had on a tank top, and we had the truck windows down.
The little peeper frogs are 'singing'....for all intents and purposes, Spring is here, but WAY too early. The peepers usually don't start until about April or May. Unreal weather! emoticon

Re: February Chat Thread

Saijen, the presentation is tonight, but I'll be busy with an EFT session in the afternoon. I would like to check back some information on the stuff I'm going to present, and I hope I can eek out some time after work. If not, I'll have to wing it.

At least I slept very well - no noisy heating system *this* night - and felt pretty good this morning. Now waiting on feedback on the application from my friend, hoping I can send it off soon. So exciting!

Good Day my [sign in to see URL] Feb. [sign in to see URL] day!
AS FOR ME TODAY..

Cat box cleaning day, then I know hubby wants to try out this Oriental place for dinner. Hey, if I don't have to cook, it works for me! *teehee*
And we have a few things to pickup at the [sign in to see URL] than that, not much going on today. emoticon

FIRLE.. so glad you got a good night sleep! I hope you get to update things and hear back from your friend! *fingers crossed*

SAIJEN..."changed into my ratty clothes"... emoticon you sound like me. I have at times changed 3 or 4 times, going from nice clothes to go to town in and 'working around the house/yard' [sign in to see URL] ONE DAY! emoticon
I love those skirts. Her's are so much nicer than most you find, because you don't need a slip, she sews in a loose [sign in to see URL] like a 'gauze' slip, so they are not see through in the sun! emoticon

Oh and I love that name! Keira Lynn, it really does roll of the tongue and sounds gorgeous! emoticon
As for your unusual [sign in to see URL] hope you all don't get a hard freeze in early Spring... emoticon

Re: February Chat Thread

The day today has been spent battling the weather radio. Severe thunderstorm warnings, tornado watches and [sign in to see URL] they say there's yet another line of storms headed our way. emoticon I'm beyond ready for some normal weather.

Did not do a blessed thing today. Went nowhere, did nothing but chill. I did fix supper, but it was one of those Wanchai Ferry frozen meals. Good stuff. I fixed the orange chicken. Was almost too sweet, but had a good flavor, and was very filling.

Firle, I'm so glad you got a good night's sleep. Need to get your body recharged all the way from having been sick and all.

Good on getting the application redone and sent for inspection. I hope he finds it better than acceptable.

Queeny, nice that the lady sews a 'slip' into her skirts. That's one of the things I like the least about my skirts, is they are so filmy, and are rather see-through, but I don't wear a slip with them. Way too hot. I have worn some shorts under them, but that is even a bit much. I could probably do some kind of light-weight slip type thing that just covers my rearend [sign in to see URL] to maybe mid thigh so that it's not so hot. Wouldn't take much to do, and doing it in a neutral color, I could wear it with any of my skirts. A nylon slip is just too hot and clingy for my taste! lol

I don't wear jeans around the [sign in to see URL] some old knit pants with elastic waist and a holey t-shirt. No bra (I hate bras, but will wear them if I have to leave the house, or if we have company) and slipper socks for cooler temps. Warmer is knit shorts, holey or stained tank tops and bare feet. [sign in to see URL] I'm going somewhere, it's my jeans or some nice capris, a nice t-shirt/tank top/blouse and either some flats, regular sneakers or my dressier [sign in to see URL], make-up, hair done. I'm a complete slob when I'm at home LOL

How was the Oriental place you went for supper????
