I'll play around with this some more, as well. Might replace the sweet potato with another veggie, or whatever.    nondisclosed_email@example.com (Firlefanz)Tue, 21 Feb 2012 11:25:26 +0000 Re: Whacky Sweet Potato-Zucchini Casserolehttps://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p241945,from=rss#post241945https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p241945,from=rss#post241945Firle, you cook like I do!! LOL...a dab of this, a pinch of that, a splash of the other....LOL. When we have zuchinni we don't know what to do with, I'll have to use this recipe. I'll have to figure out the US measurements, but I think I can pretty much figure it out from what looks about right. Thank you for posting it!!! It's much appreciated!! nondisclosed_email@example.com (Saijen SilverWolf1)Tue, 21 Feb 2012 03:48:26 +0000 Re: Whacky Sweet Potato-Zucchini Casserolehttps://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p241936,from=rss#post241936https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p241936,from=rss#post241936I love it too....those made up and thrown together recipes are usually the best! And that one sounds very good! nondisclosed_email@example.com (Queenyforever)Mon, 20 Feb 2012 19:03:08 +0000 Re: Whacky Sweet Potato-Zucchini Casserolehttps://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p241927,from=rss#post241927https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p241927,from=rss#post241927Firlefanz wrote: Warning: This is no recipe. Thanks for the guidelines! nondisclosed_email@example.com (TexasMadness)Sun, 19 Feb 2012 19:46:37 +0000 Whacky Sweet Potato-Zucchini Casserolehttps://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p241923,from=rss#post241923https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p241923,from=rss#post241923Warning: This is no recipe. These are guidelines for your experiments. Okay, here are the ingredients I used: 1 sweet potato 1 zucchini 400 g of organic beef 1 carton of pureed tomoto (500ml, I think) some wide rice noodles, tagliatelle style 2 eggs some cream 2 tea spoons of sour cream thyme savory First, I fried the beef, added salt and savory and thyme, and then when it was nicely browned, I added the tomato puree. Since I did that around noon, the mix had enough time to cool off. In late afternoon, I cut up the sweet potato and zucchini and also soaked the rice noodles for ten minutes. Finally, layered everything into a greased pan, with the beef mix. The rice noodles ended up pretty much on top, but still covered with a bit of sauce and some slices of zucchini and potato. I then mixed the sauce in a little shaker I have, and poured it over the whole thing. It didn't look like much, to be honest. Then I baked it for 30 min at 150C, and for another 15 min at 120C. And it turned out extremely yummy. I dare say the whole thing is open to experimentation. You probably don't need the rice noodles in it, for example.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Firlefanz)Sun, 19 Feb 2012 19:21:19 +0000
