He's FIRE....and his Aunt, Alara chose to be my Spirit guide. Unfortunately the other Immortals are always a pain..seriously. They can NOT deal with emotions, and bicker amongst each other constantly and have egos' the size of freaking TEXAS! My own son can be so emotionally detached, it's scary. When I lost my Sister 2 weeks ago...I called on my Spirit guide for help in keeping my "wall" up. She was great for finding the words of comfort for the others, but my son sent his brothers and sisters to help me with the strength needed....and they were so "Lost" with all that emotion going on, they did nothing. I was breaking and fast. So I called upon one that most folks would not call upon. She is a rogue, and trouble. The immortals killed off her entire race, as they feared their power....so she hates them. But I know her, love her and she cares for me. She came, saw that they were doing nothing and took over. My wall was back up in minutes and stayed up for over a week. The "OTHERS" stayed away from her. Except my guide Alara.......she saw that this little rogue was actually there to HELP me, and so they sort of met on 'middle ground'...it all worked, but not without my belief in ALL of them.. BTW...I do not believe my microwave or toaster have any kind of spirit or soul. But ever LIVING thing....trees, grass, flowers, water...the EARTH itself...US..we all do have power, spirits and souls...nondisclosed_email@example.com (Queenyforever)Fri, 23 Mar 2012 19:50:17 +0000 Re: Naturalistic Paganism/Dice have it!https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p242507,from=rss#post242507https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p242507,from=rss#post242507Great blog! I feel the same way about pantheism. I sympathize with the concept but can't take it literally. Animism (spirits in things like animals, plants, rocks) holds more meaning for me but still, when taken literally, is beyond my "faith level" as it were. I look forward to exploring the resources you've put together there!nondisclosed_email@example.com (TexasMadness)Fri, 23 Mar 2012 18:20:58 +0000 Re: Naturalistic Paganism/Dice have it!https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p242480,from=rss#post242480https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p242480,from=rss#post242480Interesting blog, Terry! That was a LOT of links...LOL. One day when I have more time to really read through them, I want to check them out. I have to agree with you, that not ALL things are holy, or even worthy of being considered as a diety or holy. I just can't (and won't) view a microwave, an oil spill, a fork, items such as that, as divine, holy, or anything else along those lines. When I was a coven member, our Dieties were Rhiannon and Cerrnunos. I never truly understood WHY just those two. Why not more, why any at all. Some Pagans are polytheistic, others..monotheistic...and some choose to be, in a sense, atheistic...choosing NOT to follow a specific God/dess in the form of the Greek/Roman/Etc dieties. They see Nature as their diety...hence Naturalistic Paganism. I think I fall more into that catagory...I do deal with the Elementals and Watchers, but not on the level Wiccans do. I don't think, to be Pagan, that you HAVE to have a God/dess or both in order to have a connection. I am at my best when my hands are in the dirt, or when I'm dancing (noticed that's one of your favorite things, too...I love to dance..just don't do it nearly enough). Ok..need to stop rambling here, and go check my corn for supper...lol. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Saijen SilverWolf1)Thu, 22 Mar 2012 23:55:08 +0000 Re: Naturalistic Paganism/Dice have it!https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p242469,from=rss#post242469https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p242469,from=rss#post242469Don't really do rituals, we live in a 40 foot RV and Hubby is not a Pagan. He 'humors' me mostly I think, but he never puts me down. As for my practices. I must get out into Nature daily or I begin to wither. I also tend to use the internet to challenge others to protect the Earth....as well as spread the word about Paganism. What "most" of us believe, how Nature is basically the root of our religion and how we must, even if only in our area, save whatever we can, do whatever we can....You have no idea how many people that I've chatted with on the internet for years, finally find out I'm Pagan, start asking questions and end up seeking out and researching the Path themselves...most say..."WOW....I believe the same thing, perhaps I've been Pagan and never really knew it." As for rituals, only one I definitely do is my nightly one...where I light a candle and thank Mother, and the Elemental's...my Spirit guide (one of them) for whatever that day brought. No matter what that day brought....even if it brought sadness as in last week, the death of my sister. I thanked them for taking her "home"...I've done the ritual for finding out my animal totem (Turtle/tortoise, BTW)...mostly I just try to relish every minute of every day, find something beautiful and thank the Earth for her generosity. Not terribly exciting am I? nondisclosed_email@example.com (Queenyforever)Tue, 20 Mar 2012 22:26:29 +0000 Re: Naturalistic Paganism/Dice have it!https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p242468,from=rss#post242468https://bthepaganporch.runboard.com/p242468,from=rss#post242468Queenyforever wrote: Very nice! I call myself a Naturalisic Pagan which I believe is a very similar if not the same concept but by a different name. I decided to place as many links as I could find on my new blog about being a Naturalistic Pagan and thought I should share those links here, rather a link to my blog which lists all of the sites on Naturalistic Paganism, Pantheism, Non Theistic Paganism, Humanistic Paganism, Atheistic Witchcraft and Spiritual Naturalism and there may be many more ways to describe those like us that I dont even know about! This Blog also leads in a roundabout way to the blog Don and I have together about our Dice based experiences to various restaurants and food outings that some have expressed an interest in so I thought this would be a great way to spread the word!   http://paganparadize.blogspot.com/?zx=1e5df719a8242fc3 Just click on my profile and it will take you to the dice version of the same blog, oh and Naturalistic Druids is a new group I just found, wow! Ive thought a lot about such subjects and time and time again the issue of Pantheism comes up and from my understanding I am NOT a Pantheist, the ones I have encountered believe that EVERYTHING (Microwave ovens for example, Oil slicks) are God or Goddess and that doesnt make sense to me so I dont see how I fit, No, Naturalistic Pagan works just fine for me, I hope someone finds the links useful to their own Journey and please share if you have links that i dont have listed!nondisclosed_email@example.com (Irishdize)Tue, 20 Mar 2012 10:48:35 +0000
