Queeny, yes, that's pretty much the [sign in to see URL] prefer to not argue over something neither of us will change our minds on. Life is too short to fight over things like that.

And, Syrakynn, Queeny is right, it would take an extensive amount more than that to offend me! LOL. I'm about as laid back and agreeable as one can [sign in to see URL] don't offend easily (unless someone is just being plain [sign in to see URL], I get offended very easily... emoticon ).
We were both probably saying pretty much the same things, just in a different way is all. I tend to be more in depth, and/or literal with some [sign in to see URL], for some reason, other things are hard for me to explain what I mean, so they come across rather vague! Irritate myself doing that! emoticon

I kind of figured we were saying the same thing. emoticon I don't get offended easily either. Not even stupid offends me, it just irritates me.

Yes I agree, arguing with some people is akin to beating your head against a wall. They don't really hear a thing you say and all you end up with is headache. This is why I bit my tongue and clicked away from the conversation on your FB wall. I could see a giant brick wall looming. emoticon

emoticon the thing [sign in to see URL] is my sister-in-law, so I am kind of having to smooth the way there! LOL. I had to work really hard for my husband's family to accept me (even when I was still on the Christian path) because I am his third [sign in to see URL] first 2 were really off the wall (first wife put the butt of a rifle thru their TV cause he was watching a commercial that had women in [sign in to see URL] some such. His second wife would not allow him to speak to any other female, including his mother or sisters, without her [sign in to see URL], later on decided that her parents were actually robots with human skin.....) so, I don't want to upset the balance I've finally gained with his family. This is for his sake, not mine. I know he wouldn't worry so much about it, but I do. [sign in to see URL] feel that you can't state your opinions on things I post. If I don't agree, I'll say [sign in to see URL] I do agree, I may not say so, but I won't go against it, either. LOL. Man, sometimes I hate having to pick these battles! emoticon

I agree, better to pick you battles than to wade into every one. Besides, like I said, most battles are just you and a brick wall anyway. Much more productive to leave the wall to itself and find something that will inspire better feelings within yourself.

Most [sign in to see URL] agree with both of you ladies! Picking battles is the only way to truly ensure that people know what is the most important to [sign in to see URL], a battle can be fought with actions alone. Living my life MY [sign in to see URL] the person that I am (giving, caring, [sign in to see URL])....people can take me any way they choose..... they can think I'm just a good Christian girl, or, they can think I'm a good Pagan girl. Either way, the message (be kind to all!!) gets across.

Exactly how I'm doing it. Lead by example, not preaching it. emoticon My family knows what I am, but I don't bring it up in conversation, unless they ask. But Hubby's side of the family, some know (like SIL who practices Reiki)...others do not, which is why I was able to sit in a Christian church for BIL funeral, and later Christian memorial and then huge family get-together and everyone liked [sign in to see URL] I just showed everyone equal love and caring. emoticon

Too bad there's very few Christians (not [sign in to see URL] don't anyone beat me up over [sign in to see URL]) who can, or will, do that!

(As a former Christian, and a person with MANY Christian friends and [sign in to see URL] can say that with a fair amount of authority on the subject! lol)
