Re: Fantasy novel by fellow homesteader

I am so glad you enjoyed and my writing conveyed what I hoped it would. I promise you, I am diligently working on the second book.

I do have the cover art and title for the second book.

And I am glad you decided not to mention that you know me. Everyone would have thought I put you up to it.

The reviews I've have thrill me because each one, like you, was someone who read the book.

Love the cover for book 2!!

I did not want anyone to think I was doing a biased review, by mentioning that I know you. The review I did was truly based solely on my thoughts about the book. There is no bias in there at [sign in to see URL] had I mentioned differently, that wouldn't have mattered. I want the book to stand on it's own, not based on someone else's perception that the review was lopsided. It's very deserving of the review I gave.

My husband can tell you how much time I actually spent, curled up in my chair, with your book! I had the Kindle edition, but may buy the paperback version, just so I'll always have it.... need to get it autographed [sign in to see URL], I can honestly say... "I knew her when......."

Are the other reviews also from people who know you, are are these random people? There's no way a person could write those kinds of review without having read the [sign in to see URL] the book is so detailed.
You do have a way with words, and I am truly looking forward to Book II emoticon

Two know me, but read the book, the others are random. emoticon

I'm glad you liked it so much (you can ask my hubby about how much I was glowing after your review). The paperback is kind of expensive, but that's because it's not massed produced. I have to say, the quality of the binding and paper is very nice. It's also a larger paperback, 6x9.

And yes, I can sign it for you if you like. I guess you can send it too me, I can sign it and send it back. emoticon

I also have an author page on FB, [sign in to see URL]

I have posted on my FB about your book. I have several friends who would really enjoy it as well. I did not mention there, either, that I know [sign in to see URL] won't, until you're better established, but at this rate, it won't take you long! All 5 of the reviews were 5 star, and Wayne (a customer/reviewer) commented on my review. It's so hard NOT to let people know that I know you, but I want you to make it on your writing's merit, not on biased commentes lol

It may be after I get back from my trip to Texas before I can purchase the hard copy of the book (the cost is worth it, to have it in case I lose the one on my [sign in to see URL], I WILL read this book more than once!).. then, we can work out the details of getting the book to you for an autograph...

I'm glad you liked my review. It was totally from the heart. emoticon

edited to add:
I looked at your FB page and "Liked" [sign in to see URL], what to my wandering eyes did [sign in to see URL] my review! LOL. I'm so glad that it gave you such joy! I hope you realize that the review would have been the same regardless if I had known you or not. It was not written to stroke your ego (although it apparently did to a [sign in to see URL] I'm glad it did), but it was written out of pure honesty and what I truly thought of the book.

Saijen, the fact that you based off how you really felt about about the book is what had me smiling so much from ear to ear. The fact that my writing drew you into the story and you enjoyed it so much. It's not an ego stroke, just pleasure in work well done. Like setting a straight fence, or raising beautiful goats, or watching one of my children do well.

What was really neat about the posting on my FB author page, is some else commented under it about how much she enjoyed the book. I haven't a clue who she is, but people enjoying it shows me that my writing is on the right track.

I'm still waiting for the one or two star review. I'm sure they will come and it will be interesting to see what put people off. I look at everything as a learning experience and I know that I have as much to learn from bad reviews as I do good.

There will always be at least one person who finds fault, no matter what it's in, or how well something is done, so yes, you'll probably get at least one 1-2 star review, but I hope not.

I was telling my Mom about your book today, and she said it sounds along the lines of one she's reading right now called EArth Song (so gotta look that one up [sign in to see URL]) and she's going to look your book up and may see about getting it. She doesn't have a Kindle, so she'd have to get the hard copy, but she said it sounds like something she'd really enjoy, which really surprised me! emoticon Never figured my Mom for the kind to like this kind of story, but the more I talked about the book and how it made me feel, the more excited she got about it! LOL. [sign in to see URL]'ll see.

Just tried to find the book Mom was telling me about, but there are several different ones with the title Earth Song, or [sign in to see URL], not sure which it is. had to shoot her an e-mail to [sign in to see URL].

Guys, if you like fantasy/sci-fi type stuff of this nature, then you really do need to read Turindar's (Syrakynn's) book. You won't be sorry!
I told Mom I could easily see this as a movie! it would make an awesome movie!!! I'd sure go to see it!

Let me know when you know what Earth Song it is. I went and looked too, there are lots of them. If it's in the Fantasy genre, I will likely enjoy reading it. So please share!

A movie? Hmmm, I don't know, they would probably destroy it. On the other hand, I could get paid quite handsomely...
