Persimmon Tart...so delicious. I can't wait for persimmon season again! Jerusalem artichoke soup Indian meal - curried cauliflower (from the farm!) and carrot pakoras Mmm...strawberry crepes. Gotta love the mid-winter strawberry season in Texas. These were sooo sweet. Best holiday breakfast ever! Corned beef and cabbage from scratch. As in corn your own beef. Nearly 2 weeks of brining a brisket. It was so good! And of course corned beef hash with a fried egg the next day! Thanksgiving! I wish I had done a full post about this. It was 100% local, including the turkey and ham. Awesome, awesome, awesome. Chicken and chorizo paella Holiday breakfast New Orleans style - eggs Sardou (poached egg on creamed spinach in a artichoke heart) with grits and cheese! My first gingerbread houses! Sooo messy on the decorations, but they were a blast to make. These are small, maybe 3 or 4 inches high. A lot of fun. My dad made the original cookie cutters when I was about 5 and that was the only year we made them as kids. I couldn't believe they still had the cutters! nondisclosed_email@example.com (TexasMadness)Tue, 19 Feb 2013 22:23:29 +0000
