To be a Pagan Magi

To be a Pagan is person choice - one can have a wonderful life, following the path of Nature, with no influences or spells to make things easier or different. Thousands of people make very happy lives as Pagans, believing in a form of the Goddess and Her Consort, as Deity or Nature itself, and this is good.

To be a Pagan Magi, Witch, Spell-binder, Sage or whatever you know yourself to be, needs something more than a choice:

To use the forms of nature, one needs to be at one with nature, not fighting frantically to keep your head above the mass of chaos. To achieve this, personal life choices must be made, that elevate you above the masses that know no better.

To utilise Pure Nature, you need to be Pure as you can be. What you do with your body, must be Pure in Physic and Spirit, so that no corruption can flow with the Nature Energy as you push it from you.

Those who know me better than others, know my role in life, which gives me an insight into the attempts of energy influence that is done be novices, and one such attempt struck me as tragic, because the Lady trying was a smoker, drank too much, ate junk food, and had health issues. What she was trying to do needed a pure vessel to channel the energy through, and she could not provide such a vessel.

What she wanted, failed, and she became angry with the Goddess, with Nature and with all of the energy, because she believed it failed her.

The tragedy is that it did not fail her, she failed it, and she suffered a loss that has changed her life completely.

If you want to do anything that is above the nice comfy energy hugs, and help parcels, you NEED to start with something Pure - Yourself.

Chemicals within foods do not get processed by your body, they get stored in various organs until the body figures out what to do with them. Which, of course, is never. Such chemicals can be avoided, by buying as near pure food as you can, and learning what common foods are not actually food at all.

IF someone cannot make life changes to follow such a pure path, then, for your own sake, and that of those around you, do not rely on what limited skills you have, to solve massive problems than can hit any one of us.

Anyone can do amazing things, if only the know how, and present it from a healthy body, overweight is fine, if an effort to avoid the chemical foods is there, but smoking, drinking often, eating junk food, candy and other harmful foods, is not. The higher up the influence chain you wish to climb, the purer you physic should be.

I am writing this to help my friends here avoid the devastating sorrow that one of you is secretly feeling now. Hopefully you will read this and understand.

Been trying to be as clean and pure as the nature I see around me daily, for several years. I don't use spells, as you know. But I believe my energy is clean and does get to where it needs to be.
Best wishes to the lady in question... ♥

Thank you Muladzh for the reminder of how and why some things work and some don't. You can't expect more from the Universe than you put into it. emoticon

Interesting input! At the moment, I am in that ditch, but as soon as I am done with the obligation I am currently in, I intend to get back to a more healthy diet, with a LOT less irritation. I am well aware that I have bitten off way more than I should have, but I am the kind of person that, once I commit, I do my best to stick it out.....so....until things settle down, and I am able to get back to the healthier lifestyle I was enjoying about this time last year....I refuse to do any kind of works (because I know they will go wonky)....

Thank you for this reminder of what it takes to be the kinds of people we want to be, and what we need to do, for ourselves first, others secondly, if we with to go further with our possibilities. emoticon

Thank you for this. This is one of the reasons that I went Paleo and I started working out 6 days a week. I can't remember the last time that I ate anything from a box. The only sweets that I eat is a dark chocolate bar maybe once every 2 weeks.

I've been battling inner demons on whether or not to go back to church. I have decided not to. I know the energy that I feel when I am out hiking a trail or just sitting beside the lake. I also know the energy that I feel when I am speaking with the moon on a clear night.

My family still thinks that I am crazy because I talk with the trees. And I say 'with' because if I listen hard enough they do answer me. Maybe I am nuts but I guess it could be worse.

I am trying so hard to be both ready and worthy to work with the energy that I feel around me. I know that I can do this but I refuse to even try until I know that I am ready. My biggest obstacle right now is calming all of the thoughts down in my head enough to clear some of it out.

Thanks again for this.

Animal...you are soooo not nuts. I have found my peace, my church, my life in Nature. And everything speaks, if we but listen.
My husband thought I was nuts at first too. And he's still not a believer, but he likes the changes in me.
Now up here with my Parents...they at first TOTALLY thought I'd lost it. But slowly now they have come to realize that the changes in me make me a better person, a more loving daughter and at peace with the world.
My Mom even jokes about things with me now...such as on our ladies day out...she bought me this:

Image

AND YES...she really thinks it would be cute on the front of my NEW house. Last year, she would have been so embarrassed by that, and my 'hippie' outlook that she would never have come over and sure as heck would never have gone out shopping with me wearing a pentacle, flip flops and 'hippie' skirts. Now we have a blast..

ANIMAL...we just have to be who WE are. Eventually those around us see that the changes are good, and most often come to love us for them. emoticon

Re: To be a Pagan Magi

I find that when people think I am mad, I am doing something right. I too talk with trees, with rivers, with rocks, mountains and deserts, and everything that walks, crawls or grows there. Everything has spirit, everything benefits from companionable words. The language of the trees is different to the language of rivers, but they are all real.

People generally think that if they did not learn something in infancy, then it is a fake in some way. Christianity is forced into the minds of children almost at birth, and it is a hard programme to shift. I regard myself as wonderfully lucky in being born within a Pagan Community, that had always been Pagan. For the last sixty odd years I have had nothing but the Goddess in my life, taught by Her to talk with everything, to be balanced with Her Nature. The difference that makes, when compared with having to learn as an adult is amazing. I have no doubts about my ability, my belief, and my comfort. And I talk with Nature.

Leaving Nature to return to a dogma of fear, such as the christian church would be a terrible change in life force. I cannot understand why they call their belief peaceful and loving - I find nothing peaceful or loving within it. Nature is the real force within this world, so following Her, the Goddess of Nature, is the only thing that makes any sense to me.

I am currently working very had changing things, and for this I have to be completely pure in nature, so my diet is very simple - if someone made it, prepared it, or added to it, I cannot eat it, at this time. I can only buy raw materials, meat, or fruit, and that is all I can eat. The difference it makes to my ability is amazing - I am changing things that affect us all, because the system currently used is failing. I do not usually interfere with the workings of mankind, but this time is an exception.

To achieve this, I NEED to be uncorrupted; nothing within me can be at odds, my body has to working naturally, so spices, herbs, most vegetables, and most fruits are out - the versions available today are nothing like the natural versions that grew before man got too clever, so they affect the way the body and spirit work together.

The advantage of this very strict diet is that I am healthier than I have been for a while, and the food bills are actually less than usual. We pay much more than most people for our food, as it has to be the best we can buy - organic grass fed meat, safe dairy, safe fish - all very expensive, but I need to be as clean of spirit as I can be.

People have met me in the past and wanted to know how they could do what I do - I tell them just what I write here - If you want to change things in your life, or the way a country works, or how people behave in certain things, you need to be 'as one' with the Nature Spirit. Do that and you can do things that most people swear are impossible - don't do that, and you can't. It is as simple as that.

After the fist week or so, of the strict diet, your body changes to a more 'primal' level. you sleep better, you can taste the nuances of nature within the pure food that most people lather with spices, and food becomes more enjoyable.

I would not suggest that anyone here take such drastic steps in their life - it is necessary to be able to walk before running a marathon.

Thank you for explaining more - and I'm sending all the luck and help you can use for your work.

I believe we can all strive to eat better, even if we don't want or can't go to your lengths right now. But we can still make better choices in food. I'm working on that (again, after much failure), and it seems to help.

The extreme diet that I am following at this moment has no vegetables in it, because none of the vegetables currently available are pure with nature - to much hybridization going on - the tomato is totally different to the one nature grew, as are peppers, cabbage, lettuce etc.. so all of these are off my diet for the time being.

Pork, poultry and fatty fish are things I do not eat at this time - all can affect the way we are with nature. It is severe, but I am well fed, with tasty food, that I know is as pure as I can get, so the attempts I make have a chance of working.

When I have achieved my aims I probably won't re-introduce many of the foods that I have forgone at this time - I am managing better without them, health wise, so I don't need them.

What I can eat, and do eat happily, is home made ice cream with raw cream, and pure honey.. Completely delicious.

Interestingly, recently, whilst researching things, I came across a university study that is following much the same path as my current diet, that suggests that foods should be pure to balance the physique and allow for the correct levels of body acids - which according to this study, account for 90% of bodily malfunctions and ailments. I am looking into this study at the moment, and probably won't post anything else here about it, as it is radical and extreme, and probably not interesting to more normal people. emoticon

I thank you for doing this. I know this world is in a world of hurt and Nature needs more help than any human can imagine. SO THANK YOU emoticon

Can you not include vegetables like those of the Native Americans....the "geophyte" types?
(any plant that stores food in an underground organ, be it a bulb, tuber, rhizome, or corm. )
Examples: wild onions, Cattail (stem and roots at the base of the plant are white, pithy, and store large quantities of starch, as do the many rhizomes that connect each plant), Edible Water Plants: Aquatic Vegetables (IE wild rice), Watercress (Dad brought watercress home last weekend from their drive up to the mountains), or many wild berries that grow definitely without mans influence....blue berries, raspberries, gooseberries or how about Agave root...
Might could look into some things like that to supplement your diet.
