Re: August 'chew the fat'
Congratulations Queeny! She's a cutie. And so lucky to have found you guys. Enjoy her!
Usual day here, just doing some work. I'm off to dinner at my brother's tonight. Not sure if I'm going to the farm tonight or tomorrow. I'm getting a bit worn out by all the work there but that will be over come September.

Re: August 'chew the fat'
Seven weeks! That's too early to be away from mom. I'm so glad you found her and DID something for her. And keeping her, too.
All the best, and may your cats come to love her, too.

Re: August 'chew the fat'
(That flower was at the Trees of Mystery....taken by me.)
Good Monday my friends!
Well, we are no longer dog owners. (We honestly, just can't do dogs, not with all the cats and my work load with house, mom and dad...etc.)
So I asked/prayed/meditated and got an answer, via our vet.
We posted the puppy's picture on a local rescue site, the people have to go through this lady who owns it, then she calls us and gives US their info. Well, one hour after posting that adorable picture I had on here. She got a call from a single Mom (never said for certain, but I believe her husband may have died in military....she had a picture in a locket around her neck, and a flag pin), she was from Boise, with two boys. One acted like the "little man" of the house. (She even said he wanted to 'clear' the dog adoption with him.) He was about 12 or so, the other one was about 7, and had mild ADHD. The little guy and the puppy hit it off instantly. The young boy was so gentle and caring and Mom was very on top of everything. The puppy who had chewed on Hubby and me like nothing.......was a gentle as could be with the boy. She said she worked in dog friendly work space, was planning on taking him to work with her. And teaching it to go on runs with her, as well as be her boys best friend.
THEY were why we found that puppy. The Universe knew I would take care of it, till somehow we found them/or they found us. DESTINY is/was the perfect name for that puppy.
The rest of our weekend was just putting out house BACK together! LOL And the cats are so much happier now..
So....got house cleaned, and now catching up on regular laundry! And hopefully catchup online...Might even get to START to go through the almost 400 pictures I have of our vacation!
Going to be another hot week. Today 100 for certain and close to that the rest of the week. Even though those fires are no where near us, we do have an Orange air quality alert for our area. So, I will have to use my inhaler for mowing on Wednesday or Thursday. But, all in all.....much quieter this week. I HOPE!

Re: August 'chew the fat'
Queeny, so glad things turned out well for you. Such a little girl probably was a bit much for you and the cats. Hope your old kitten is okay.
And I'm glad Destiny found such a good home. The boy needs her, I'm sure.
All the best for all involved!

Re: August 'chew the fat'
Good Tuesday my friends!
WOW....slept in today, must have needed it. Got up, got hubby up, fed all the cats and went right back to bed! LOL Oh well, not like my daily chores won't wait for me. Easy day today, mostly need to clean windows and sliding glass doors, to remove doggy and kitty nose art from them. Probably do that during the downtime here at RB. Don't want to do it now, as the feral cats are relaxing in the sun on our back deck...LOL Also later need to get to the grocery store, as hubby and I went to Mom and Dads last night and sat there just talking till it was to late to go. No biggie......store will still be there too! LOL Have a great day my friends. ♥
FIRLE....Thank you HON Also sending prayers and energy to you, for your chat room friend..keep to the light Firle, stay positive, you know how energy transfers.

Re: August 'chew the fat'
So cool about the puppy Queeny!
Back in town for the mid-week rush of working at the lab and doing some housework before getting back to the farm on Friday! My folks are out of town all weekend so I'm definitely "the boss".

Re: August 'chew the fat'
Saijen came for a visit today and met the Mack. We sat for a couple of hours chatting, with Dandy Blend to drink, and had a great time.. It was good to see her.
We were comparing photos on phone, great fun. Of course the chihuahua from Hades behaved very badly barking the entire time, and snapping at Saijen when she tried to be friendly. This darned dog really is a pain, and he is only six years old - we have another ten years of the annoying dog..

Re: August 'chew the fat'
Glad you saw Saijen. We miss her!
And I'm sorry about the Chihuahua. He probably smelled Saijen's dogs on her.
