On [sign in to see URL], we had a 'Handmade Toy/Gift Show' at the theatre. It was our first attempt, and it went very well.

2 of our vendors were authors, and one of them writes fiction mysteries. I bought one of her books for myself, one for my Mom and one of the other author's books for Mom.

The mystery writer is Cheryl Peyton, and the book's title is "Murder on Bedord Island: It Was A Vacation To Die For"
It's written much in the style of Agatha Christy. I enjoyed it greatly.

The other author wrote a book titled "Saying Goodbye To the Iris Lady". It's a true story about her mother, who loved growing irises, and about the memories, life, illness and death of this woman. It's by Marilyn Neilans. I did not purchase that book for myself. It didn't appeal to me much, but I'd like to possibly get Cheryl's other [sign in to see URL] she'll have another similar to the Bedford Island story coming next year.

Both of these ladies are from Loundon, TN, which is just below Knoxville, and they are members of the Tennessee Writer's Guild, or [sign in to see URL] whatever it's [sign in to see URL].

I've also read Audra's second book, 'Tears Of War' and totally enjoyed it! It's rare for me to get so caught up in the characters that I get teary-eyed when something happens to one of them, but she's done just that! I actually cried at parts of her book! She's such a fabulous author!
