Re: January Jaw-wagging

Rainy day today. My jeans is still drying. emoticon

This morning, I had 55 participants for my inspirational challenge! That's more than my goal and I still have 10 days before kick-off. I'm happy and excited!

Shoulder is achy, but I'm confident it's getting better. Final round of PT starts next week. I'm almost back to using my right arm completely normal, except that some movement hurts. So I do it anyway, but slowly and carefully.

The really amazing change is that I wake up in the mornings and look forward to the day. I love that!

Today is sunny and warmer, I spent an hour with the dog in the wood - he finds sticks and looks surprised. dopey mutt.

55 eh? Pretty good. heck it is not pretty good at all, it is amazing.. It sounds like the future is rosier.

I am happy you look forward to the day, That is how it should be. I cannot imagine what it is like when one doesn't look forward to the day. That is too scary for me.

Re: January Jaw-wagging

Lots of sun and some warmer temps, but still a bit too cool to suit me. Supposed to rain late tonight, into tomorrow.

Just had to call a neighbor to see if she has a Dalmation and Pug. Our dogs were going nuts, so we looked to see who/what was out there, and it was 2 dogs, wolfing down some dog food that had gotten wet in the container we keep it in, so DH had dumped it out on the ground for the birds. Anyway...I called a new neighbor to see if they were her dogs, and sure enough...they're hers. They ate, then headed back home! Silly dogs!!! The Dalmation tried to photo bomb us when their owner was doing photos for us, as part of a fund raiser for a mutual friend's son. At least she knew me, and allowed me to pet her, even though she was snarling at my Corgii. Had to calm her down to keep a fight from happening.

Spent the day in bed yesterday. Woke up with a massive migraine and severe nausea. Managed to get the headache gone, but the nausea lasted all day. Am wondering if part of what I've been dealing with since Christmas isn't a stomach bug as well as a head cold. Or....I have 2 separate issues going on...lol. I was up at 1:30 this morning, curled up in my chair with a book and read till 8:30, went back to bed and slept till about 11 or so. Finally managed to drag myself out of bed, get the kitchen cleaned up, and put some ground deer out so I can make some chili for supper. At least I'm keeping food down today..YAY!!!!!

DH got a new TV antenna I had ordered for him, today! It's remote controlled, and supposedly will pick up stations within a 150 mile radius. When we lived in the camper, we bought a 19" LED TV with built in DVD player, so we'd at least have some way to watch movies or something while out there. Now, it's sitting in our bedroom, and we have a small outside antenna, but it has to be moved manually, and we're not getting a lot of channels. I hope the new one does what it says, and we can get a slew of channels. Would be nice in the evenings, when it's cold, to snuggle under the blankets and watch our favorite shows. Just have to see how it goes. emoticon

Fairly quiet in the house at the moment. My daughter has gone to the store for diapers, and Keira is napping. Son-in-law is working. DH is home, but that's not a problem. I'm going to go check my meat..see if it's thawed and if it has, get my chili started so it can sit and simmer a while. Good night for chili and cornbread!!!!!

Chilli and cornbread, I am drooling.

We don't have a tv antenna, haven't had one for years. currently we have direct tv, but that is annoying, all adverts and programs I don't like.

Re: January Jaw-wagging

I don't have a TV at all, and I don't even miss it. I get my news online, and that's good enough.

I prefer to read a book than watch a series. I already know I probably wouldn't sleep well after watching much TV in the night - never have. So I'm good without one!

My 21-day Inspirational Challenge is free, but of course the people signing up are on my mailing list, so I can offer them pay-for programs later. I'm actually creating some of them. And the number of participants went up to 61.

  emoticon emoticon

I'm having lots of fun creating the websites for the products. I'd love to help writers finish their novels, or get a decent product funnel going. And of course, I'm working on my own product funnel! With dragons!

However, this weekend I need to set up the first week of my challenge, so that I'm well ahead of the curve. And since I plan to use EFT in it, I need to create a little video so they can actually *see* how to do it. Oh, the fun! Weather looks good today, so I may actually have enough light to shoot it today.

Re: January Jaw-wagging

We have DISH, but it seems there's more and more problems creeping up. First, several of the channels we watch are in negotiations and many are seriously considering dropping DISH as a carrier for their station. NOT a good thing, since many of the shows we do enjoy are on those particular stations! Hence...the antenna for the little TV. Also, DISH is doing a price increase. It's not a whole lot, but enough to make me wanna do some head bashing at their corporate offices. If this antenna works like we're hoping, we may downsize our network package to the barest, so that at least Keira has some cartoons to watch, and some other things will be available as well, for a LOT less money! I just can't see wasting $90+ a month when well over half of the channels never get seen in our house. I think a lot of these networks would benefit from allowing customers to customize their own packages. Have a minimum amount (say $20) for so many channels, but the customer gets to choose which channels. Then, if you want more...the price goes up accordingly. Add $2 per channel up to so many additional, then upgrade to a larger customizable package. If they did that, they'd not have to fret over things nearly as much. They'd get more customers....but NOoooo....that's way too easy, and many wouldn't buy the BIG packages to get certain stations. Ok..so, charge a bit more for the movie channels!!! There HAS to be a way to do this, without breaking people's budgets wide open. (sorry...pet peeve...lol)

I didn't make the cornbread last night. I'm still not feeling the best, so, just did the chili. Deer burger, kidney beans, black beans, tomatoes and seasonings. Was pretty good, but my appetite isn't what it normally is (not necessarily a bad thing..lol), so didn't eat a whole lot.

It started raining here last night. Constant drizzle with bouts of downpour! It finally stopped early this morning, and while we never got any sunshine, at least the temps are bearable!! Nowhere near as cold and icy as it was this past weekend and early part of this week. I'm happy about that!!!!!!

Been sitting here paying the Council's bills and getting a deposit ready to go to the bank on Monday. Had to get the last bit of last year's stuff together and e-mail the info to my counterpart for the treasury. We have a grant due in about 2 weeks, so we had to get all of our income/outgo ducks in a row to send along with the grant request. I'm SO glad I am not having to do that anymore! I was at such a loss, and this lady just takes the info and is a wiz with it. I'm a much happier person since she's come on board!!!

Re: January Jaw-wagging

Beautiful weather here today! Perfect for creating video. Now that little dog just has to stop yipping - has been going on for 15 min, at least! He's tied up at a playground, wanting to play with the kids. Can't see anyone taking care of it. Shame on the owners.

And I have to decide what to wear for that video, as I'll merge my roles of coach and writer. Not my usual black suede blazer, for sure. But what else?

  emoticon

I already edited an old, old short story I wrote with a friend ten years ago. Ten years! It was a shock to see the date on the file. But I'm working to create a short story collection, and that one is too much fun to pass over.

Scrivener will help me get all that organized, especially as I want to create a nice mix of tales.

In other news, I'll be creating the first few emails for my challenge - I want to be a good step ahead of my peeps.

Fun times!
