Re: Do you have "nature" indoors?
I would really love to have some aloe - ours died of shock on the way over here, two huge plants just gave up and died. Any spare aloe will get a good home here..

Re: Do you have "nature" indoors?
Do you actually use aloe for anything, or do you just like having it? I have one in my practice room, which is growing two babies right now.

Re: Do you have "nature" indoors?
We use a lot of it medicinally - it soothes any irritations, burns, scars, stings, bites and scratches. It will ease allergic reactions, and cool fever. It is truly awesome stuff but gets distressed if it moves too far. The 2900 mile trip from Washington flattened it, and it won't recover.

Re: Do you have "nature" indoors?
Well, you could try to do some EFT for it, to ease it out of the shock of moving so many times and over such a distance. Would be nice to be able to help it.
*sends a little love to that poor flattened aloe*

Re: Do you have "nature" indoors?
We use it a lot here for many of the same things Muladzh mentioned. It's awesome to help with diaper rash, too! Keira can get some extreme rashes sometimes, and as soon as we out the aloe on her, she stops screaming and crying. It's a bit like putting snot on the affected area, but the stuff works wonders!
Muladzh, I'll get y'all some of these babies repotted and bring them to you when I'm able. Probably need to wait till a bit warmer day to transplant, unless I can manage it inside, but I have a TON of babies in the big pot!!! You're more than welcome to some of them.

Re: Do you have "nature" indoors?
Thank you Saijen, We will look forward to it. It does look a bit like snot.. But yup, it works. I will remember diaper rash, I have folk ask me the daftest questions some times. That one is a regular - I have no kids how am I supposed to know?

Re: Do you have "nature" indoors?
Keira has an allergy to milk proteins, and sometimes we'll give her something that we don't realize has something in it that can upset her system....so, the diaper rash, many times, is like a burn to her. We've been a LOT more cautious lately, so there's not been an issue, but, when there is, the aloe sure does make a difference.
If a child has a high acidity in their urine and has diaper rash issues, it's not a bad idea to keep aloe handy for that, as well. Just straight aloe, nothing else. And...if for whatever reason they get it in their mouth, it may taste really nasty, but won't hurt them, unlike other treatments.

Re: Do you have "nature" indoors?
I used to have tons of plants in our other house and even outside on a table in the RV...
This house is not set right for house plants and with 6 cats, well they get eaten and I'd be cleaning up cat barf!

Re: Do you have "nature" indoors?
I've tried that....some ate it, some dumped the pots...so I have to hang anything I grow or it gets dug in, dumped or whatever (not going to say what the "whatever" is) to it!
