Re: May's Marvelous pre-summer chatterbox.

Just got home, did my errands and now have some down time.

I teach a webinar tomorrow - or maybe not. So far, one woman signed up for it. I'm thinking of offering her a one-on-one skype talk instead. No point in using it to promote a workshop that's not gathering people, either. I don't even feel like bothering to update the slides.

Morning everyone. Woke up this morning and just couldn't do it. Didn't sleep last night it was too hot and sticky. We haven't put the AC up yet, probably won't until July anyway and my fan was down in the basement. So we just decided to take the day off and work around the house. Firle, I'm sorry you didn't get more people signed up. Hang in there. emoticon Hope you are all having a good start or end to your day.

GOOD TUESDAY, MAY 27th MY FRIENDS!

I hope you all had a safe and memorable weekend. Hubby and I worked all weekend. WHAT ELSE IS NEW! [sign in to see URL] are reworking the back flower beds. Digging up all the OLD Iris beds now that they have finished blooming. Some were so old, the rhizomes we laying on TOP of the dirt. So we dug them all [sign in to see URL], split [sign in to see URL] all the grass that had grown through out [sign in to see URL] replanted most. But we still have a truck load of old Iris, sod and [sign in to see URL] still have to hammer in that black border to hold back more grass from coming back in. WE have those red timbers [sign in to see URL] those are for looks and won't stop [sign in to see URL] we have to add more garden soil around the rest of the plants and then [sign in to see URL] to [sign in to see URL] again no back left! LOL [sign in to see URL] the positive, we are getting a great workout. And Saturday we had a BBQ with Mom and [sign in to see URL] Sunday they made homemade pizza!

BECKY....AC by July? MAN! We've had ours on 3 times [sign in to see URL] we hit 90 three times. Way to hot for this time of year... emoticon

Oh it is 87 right now and we get lots of hot days but I just like the windows open so we stall as long as we can. Usually we put it on the beginning of July because of the fireworks. But I turn it off when I can and open the windows. Most nights a fan will keep me cool. Don't get me wrong though, when it's really hot I want my AC.

87˚F here, right now, no AC and the windows won't open... What fun. We have fans on all over the house just to move the air about. Tried opening the door, to get air in, and had a wasp invasion.. won't do that again.. emoticon

The window guy called, informing us that the windows are on the way, should be here Thursday or Friday morning, he will install them on Friday. I hope he will, not being able to open windows sucks this weather. We need to air out the house, but can't......... With us living in the woods, trees all around us, there are way too many insects to have the doors open for a through draught, so we have to suffer..

Why we can't have insects in the house is simple, both the Frog and I are very allergic to insect bites and stings. It is amazing how many allergies we have in common - related only by marriage..

We have a portable air conditioner that sits in the only window that works, in the new kitchen. So we can at least cool that room, and sit on chairs recovering from the oven like temps in the house.

Muladzh, I really hope you'll get the new windows very soon. It sounds awful having to sit in a hot house... emoticon

Today, it's windy and slighly rainy - haven't had such winds in a while. I had to tie down the roses on my balcony.

Will email the one lady of the webinar today and offer a private Skype meeting, which should be much nicer than a webinar. I hope she'll take me up on that.

The highlight yesterday was talking to Helen, who is organizing the telesummit for the summer. I told her about my freebie and my program, and she was delighted. In fact, it seems she's very happy to have an EFT person on her speaker list. She wants to host a mastermind meeting with all speakers after the summit to encourage joint ventures and further cooperation. I like that very much, because I believe I bring great expertise - and could use help to grow my list.

I also managed to get all my errands done - and went to bed really early last night. I was exhausted. Letting go of my workshop ... letting the universe handle it, it's either going to happen or not, and I'm no longer attached to either.

Wishing you a happy Wednesday! emoticon

HI DI HO AND GOOD WEDNESDAY MY FRIENDS!

Well, I was supposed to take Mom out shopping today. But yesterday Dad had a doc visit (supposedly the last one) with that Spinal specialist, who has done nothing but give him the run-around, matter of fact the last two meetings were not even with the Spinal doc, but his assistant. But this time he saw the Doc. And doc said..."you have really deteriorated." To which my dear Mother said.."YES! That is what we've been trying to tell everyone!"...Well, today Mom is taking Dad for some blood tests and then the spinal institute of Idaho is TRYING To get him scheduled for a rather risky surgery by NEXT [sign in to see URL] don't have all the details, but from what I gathered, they are operating on his neck, inserting some kind of metal plate and screws. I need more [sign in to see URL] everyone keep your fingers crossed that: 1. They can get him in. 2. That he survives this. And 3. That it helps. I still have to get groceries, so I may or may not be around much today. HAVE A GREAT ONE!

MULDAZH...I shall hope you get your windows in by Friday and have a nice cool house by this weekend! emoticon

BECKY...I do prefer to have my windows open, rather than air. I just sleep better. [sign in to see URL] is to hot! emoticon

FIRLE...I sure hope your weather [sign in to see URL] you don't lose any roses! emoticon

I too hope Friday is the day - had we not have started the metabolic boost program we would be in agony with the temperatures in the house now. It takes this house two days to build up heat, so cooling it down at night will give us a cool day of it. I rather suspect that most of the heat in the house comes through the windows we have, so the new ones will keep most of that heat out anyway.

When built this house stood at top of the range, with the best of everything, but lack of updates, and mostly lack of maintenance did nothing to keep it pristine.. Now it is hopelessly outdated, with scary problems - the windows will bring the work we have done to about half finished - we still have floor-coverings to deal with, curtains and blinds, two walls, a few floor panels, and decorating throughout - we have done very nearly all the expensive things, just have to do the visible stuff now.

We bought local strawberries today - awesome flavour.. Also a good slow carb to eat.

Morning everyone. Just a quick note before I head out the door. Muladzh, I feel for you with that heat and no way to open windows. I would melt! Have a fabulous day everyone.

Be happy, and a reason will come along. ~Robert Brault, [sign in to see URL]

Re: May's Marvelous pre-summer chatterbox.

Happy Thursday!

It's a public holiday today in Germany - Ascension - actually the one day in the year called "father's day". Tradionally, men hike around the countryside pulling little carts laden with beer and liquor and getting roaringly drunk. A horrible tradition, if you ask me. Nowadays it's mostly young, unmarried men who do that, and they carry gettoblasters, too.

I slept in. In fact, I went back to bed after breakfast. I know I need this. Weather is nice, but I'm going to listen to my body. (Also, not much fun in going outside to any park with hoards of drunken men around. All stores are closed.)
