Re: June's Jolly Jumping Summer Chat Fest
I'm taking that hint.
Lazy day today, with lots of resting. My sinuses are draining more rapidly, which is rather painful at times. Parts of them probably have been cut off from air and oxygen for months if not years. Opening to air again hurts. And having to swallow all that gunk makes me feel sick.
Even so, I'm glad this is happening. And I'm glad the Workshop doesn't start tomorrow. It gives me time for healing.
I'm sleeping a lot and reading a lot. Getting healthy food (mostly). Back to work tomorrow, unless I call in sick. Might do that.
Even so, I'm good. Happier than I've been for a while.

Re: June's Jolly Jumping Summer Chat Fest
That is good, Firle, very good. Today is hot again. we visited with friends for a while, moved a truck and trailer at the request of the friend, cuddled with a !@#$ that a dog had attacked - I have never seen a dog attack a !@#$ before, what is the world coming to??? A male English Bull Terrier, attacked a small Russell !@#$ - biting her hind leg so bad the teeth met.. She has recovered somewhat, and can put the leg down now, one week after the attack. The Bull Terrier is the brother of the one we took home last year, that stayed until it attacked Frog one week later. Two brothers attacking for no reason means a really bad strain. English Bull Terriers are not usually an aggressive dog.
I had a pepsi cola today - apparently some folk prefer them to coke cola, I don't know which I prefer, probably need to try them both together.. I am glad the makers are now making versions using pure sugar again - the fake sweeteners are terrible for the metabolism.

Re: June's Jolly Jumping Summer Chat Fest
Poor little !@#$, getting bitten like that. I hope her leg heals well. It's sad to see that there is a bad strain of Bull Terriers. I personally think there are more beautiful dogs than Bull Terriers, but that is in the eye of the beholder. I met a very friendly and intelligent Bull Terrier the other day, who belonged to the farrier in the stable.
I believe that aggressive strains should be ended. They are the ones giving dogs a bad name and they are dangerous.
I'm preparing for an important interview on Wednesday. It's part of a summer summit, a free online event where 15 speakers come together to offer support and insight. The topic is "Get clients fast" - which is a bit ironice for me speaking on it...
I will talk about EFT and do a live tapping round on the belief that "I can't get clients fast, ever!". This needs to be out of the way before clients can even arrive. And I will offer a special program on mindset block for entrepreneurs - with the additional reach through the summit, it should sell. My interview will be broadcast in August, and the program runs in September. I'm very happy about this opportunity.

Re: June's Jolly Jumping Summer Chat Fest
Morning everyone. Alarm went off this morning and we just turned it off and went back to sleep. Guess you could say 'we didn't care.' So that means I have the day to play unless my boss opts to have me work at home and not get charged for the day. We'll see what he decides. Hi Firle, Hi Muladzh, I hope more of the 'regulars' start posting here. It's been kind of quiet lately. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Re: June's Jolly Jumping Summer Chat Fest
Today is a good day, sun shining, no clouds, so a nice day, except for the heat it will generate in the house... In desperation we tried to open a window on the opposite end of the house to the new kitchen - shouldn't have done that as the glass of two squares fell out... It didn't even look loose.
That is the problem with the current windows, the glazing is loose in most of them, and we couldn't repair them, because we need to open them to get the storm windows open.. What a terrible design. Fingers are crossed, juju is set, spells are cast, and influence written to get the new windows by Saturday.
Today is also the first five thousand mile service for the Scion IQ.. we have done over 5K so far with it, and only bought it three months ago. Still love it, we are getting a consistent 46 mpg, except when we drive too fast, or keep the a/c running - that robs five mpg from us. Service is at the dealer we bought it from, in Johnson City, and we can do the monthly shopping there too..

Re: June's Jolly Jumping Summer Chat Fest
The IQ had its first service - they rotated the tires, checked 27 things, including fluids, and ticked all the boxes. The IQ has ten thousand mile oil change intervals, or twice a year, whichever is sooner, and doesn't need a brake service in the first hundred thousand.. I will believe that one when I see it.
When the next maintenance is due, the car will tell us.. Things are getting a little too clever, methinks.

Re: June's Jolly Jumping Summer Chat Fest
Queeny: All the best for your dad, and yourself, of course. Won't be easy to be in that hospital, but you will manage. Sending you light and shielding.
Muladzh: I love that little car! It might be a good one to get for me once I move - but I think they stopped building it. And yes, I agree, things are getting too clever...
I had a long chat with my formatting people yesterday. It seems they had to deal with some nasty stuff and are reorganizing how they do business because of that. Which took time away from working on my book, obviously. I may get a cover preview later this week. Vern is very good at what he does, so I'm looking forward to that.
I also got an EFT session and used it for my reluctance to network with people and actually TELL them about EFT and what I can do for them. It seems to have worked, I actually contacted a fellow author on FB (whom I've only followed, she doesn't really know me) and offered her some EFT. She declined gracefully, but it was a first. And now she knows I do this.
I may go and ask you guys a couple of questions when preparing emails for networking. I know EFT so well, and I'm so familiar with using it that I may miss things to explain or to educate people in.
Anyway, that's it for today. Weather is beautiful and will get hot in the next couple of days.
