Re: July's Summertime Chat

Happy July!

Busy times... working on figuring out my next steps for the Writers' Dream Coach site. I want to do another challenge to attract more people, but I got stuck in setting it all up. Reason: Such a challenge is all good, but what's the greater purpose? What do I offer people after those three weeks?

And do I have the time to run that other program?

I hope to run an entrepreneur's mindset program in September, and I really do not want to run two programs at the same time. Or do I sell one-on-one coaching for writers at the end of the challenge? That could actually work, as part of a product funnel. On the other hand, the step from "free challenge" to an individual coaching program at $1,150 is a bit steep. I'd like to offer some self-study stuff before they take such a leap of faith.

Problem is, the one self-study program I could easily create is the same one that brought most of my contacts to the list. So that one needs some extra umph to justify that it now costs money.

Just thinking out loud here, trying to come up with some strategic plan.

Still tired, ran out of sweets yesterday, and my metabolism took a nosedive in the afternoon and evening. I can't even eat as much normal food as I would need to get it back up! So it feels a little weird. Will buy sweets today...

Also, I have an infection in my right big toe next to the nail, and if that doesn't get better today, I'll have to see a doctor about it tomorrow. *sigh*

HI DI HO AND GOOD WEDNESDAY GANG!

Well, have my new military Retired Dependents ID [sign in to see URL] I'm good for 4 more years. And Hubby and I had a nice dinner out at a great little Thai [sign in to see URL] took a leisurely drive home via the back roads through the small towns, not up the freeway. It was [sign in to see URL], I need to get to the grocery store and go cut down some of Mom's weeds and expired Iris'....but I should do those this morning and then this afternoon change the cat boxes, because it's going to be 102 today!! Cat boxes I can do inside in the AC! [sign in to see URL]'ll be around off and on between errands and jobs! Have a fabulous day....
Got all my errands and jobs [sign in to see URL] shopping tonight, as hubby wants to go! LOL

FIRLE....all the ideas you have make my head spin!! emoticon
Hey, if you run out of sweets, I found a quick way to fix [sign in to see URL] a cup of regular old decaf HOT tea and add about 2 to 3 teaspoons of sugar in [sign in to see URL] pour it over ice. And you have basically what they call "SWEET TEA" in the Southern part of the U.S.... emoticon

Muladzh: Hope you're doing okay there! emoticon

Queeny: Woah. Take good care of yourself in that kind of heat. Glad you're planning your day around that weather. Oh, and after years of not doing so, I'm adding sugar to my tea, turning it into "English" tea.

Still pondering seeing a doctor about my toe infection. It finally seems to be getting better, and I really, totally need a nap this afternoon. I'm always tired, and hating that.

Yesterday, I had an EFT session and my client was happy again. I'm still surprised by how much they like working with me...

I also had a long talk with my coaching buddies (part of the accountabilty system), and they supported my decision to really go for a stratigic system of offers, rather than shooting off another challenge and have any momentum fizzle because I have no follow-up plan. Now I just have to work it out and plan the timing, too. I see lots of brainstorming in my future.

Listened to an interview in the summer school where I'm a speaker, and the expert mentioned three questions I need to answer in an ebook designed to bring clients:

- Why buy my product?
- Why buy it from me?
- Why buy it now?

I love the clarity this brings to my thought processes. I think a little free ebook that offers value and an upsell answering those three questions will definitely boost my business.

Re: July's Summertime Chat

Yesterday I was mostly out of commission. Survived work, got home, researched toe infections and finally settled on soaking in chamomile tea and a teaspoon of salt. That helped a bit. I'm also applying an antibiotic cream.

And then I curled up in bed and just slept. Didn't sleep that well at night, after that, but today I feel much better. And I will have time for another nap, too.

I'm organizing a session with my strategy coach to develop a series of products for a product funnel. Will do a lot of brainstorming before that one. Also working on a short article for our internal news at work, about winning awards with Sequoia.

Never a boring moment in life... emoticon

HI DI HO GANG!
Hope you all had a wonderful and safe 4th weekend.
We worked Friday and Saturday on our front flower bed. Removing all the old Juniper bushes and roots and adding new plants in a rainbow of colors and then adding the same red mulch and redwood boarder (only cut and stood on end and sealed them with redwood stain) as the rest of the house has.
People kept stopping at the corner, rolling down their windows and saying how nice it looked, so I think they all thought as we did, that the old Junipers looks nasty! LOL Unfortunately, it was 101 degrees on Saturday and [sign in to see URL] Saturday we were right out in the [sign in to see URL], I need to keep the new plants alive in the hottest part of Summer! (It's only 11:20 AM and it is 90 degrees. Supposed to be over 100 all week. Only cooling off by 3 am to 78!) LOL
Sunday we spent the day with [sign in to see URL] and Roger played Dominoes, and Mom and I tried to put together a [sign in to see URL] failed! LMAO I think we are both [sign in to see URL] could not [sign in to see URL] did end up in giggle fits, which made the whole place smile. emoticon
Now today, need to catch up on laundry and some small chores around [sign in to see URL]'ll catch you all when I can!

NEW FRONT FLOWER [sign in to see URL] Perennials, except for orange pot flowers.

Re: July's Summertime Chat

Wow, that front yard looks so much cleaner, brighter and better! Those junipers... they just looked negelected and awful. Brrr. Glad you replaced that.

Of course, 101F weather is horrible.

The toe is ... not doing much. Not hurting, unless I put pressure on the place. Swelling going down a little. Didn't get to do another soaking, either. Maybe I should.

I'm tired of being tired all the time!

Had two EFT sessions yesterday, both of which went well. I know I'm good, my few clients love what I do - but not enough people know about me. That's the fundamental problem I have. Not sure how to change that...

This morning I set up a paypal button for my fall program (with people recruited through the summer school), and created the email list for it. Now I just have to link the two... ran out of time.

Today is a rainy day, just when I wanted to walk the main shopping road for a bit after work. At least I took my umbrella when I left home. I also see another nap coming up in my future later today.

 emoticon emoticon emoticon

Re: July's Summertime Chat

HI DI HO GANG!
Well Mom and I got our grocery shopping done, stopped at the pet food place and played with the kittens there, and hit the second hand store and had lunch out. And even got back so I could water once and then grab a [sign in to see URL] is our drive to Boise to visit Dad..
Well, as I said yesterday our AC/heat pump is KAPUT! Should have a new one in by [sign in to see URL] hope. The technician refilled/charged the freon and said it might last till Friday. But the motor is going [sign in to see URL]'s leaking oil into the drain pan. It IS [sign in to see URL] in this house for 17 years. I thought it was the original (this house was built in 1989) but this house had none till this one 17 years ago. And the people we have who service it, are the ones who installed that one. Hopefully the recharge will last good enough till the new one can be installed. Should see our energy bills go down by 50% with the new one. [sign in to see URL] you all have a good day, try to stay [sign in to see URL] you later this afternoon.

THANK FIRLE...and those Junipers smell like Tomcat pee! emoticon
I hope you get to feeling [sign in to see URL] your toe gets better too. My big toe hurts today [sign in to see URL] I know it's because I was wearing my tennis shoes all weekend working and with that special "steel shank" insert for my toe, they are a bit [sign in to see URL] will go away. I just need to wear my sandals for a bit. emoticon
