SO excited!!!!!!!!!
My teachers called me the other night, and told me they want to accelerate me in my classes so I can be initiated July 8th (mine and DH's anniversary..though they didn't know that at the time).
Out of 4 students, I am the only one who's not missed a class, and have almost all my work done, except for the reading. They told me I am the ONLY one that always seems to have a positive attitude about things (little do they know..huh? LOL) and have such high energy and am such an aggressive seeker, that they want me in circle as soon as possible. Talk about making one feel good.
So...I have all the tools I am supposed to have, I have my BoS and things written in it I'm supposed to have, I have made my bath salts, will probably work on my "circle necklace" today, I have my chalice. I still have to get my herbs and get them planted (next week), and most of my actual "lessons" are done..I just have a few more to do there.
I have, so far, gotten skyclad twice while at their house..both times to get in the hot tub....lol. It's easier each time I do it. My inhibitions are quickly going away where that is concerned. A good thing.
I am just so excited that this is happening sooner than I expected.
I spent all day Wednesday with them....we didn't have actual class this week since she had to work on our normal class day..and has to work all week next week....but she and I went to a larger city and did some shopping, had lunch together, and when we got back to her house, had a few lessons, danced to a new CD that I had bought that day...Native American tribal music....very wonderfully graceful music. She got some sheer, floaty material and we danced with that....like 2 little girls playing. We had a ball. She said that the others who are already initiated (there are only 2) seem stuck when it comes to the dancing...so we're going to have a class on dancing..she and I.
She has very quickly (well, they both have) become some of my closest and best friends. Her husband..my other teacher..was watching us dance, and he said it was just delightful to watch. The sun was setting behind us, and we were just letting the music tell us what to do. Sometimes she and I felt the same exact thing, and it surprised us...other times, it was different, but was so coordinated it was almost scarey....but cool at the same time. She and I are VERY much in tune with each other. It's just so awesome to finally have a "playmate" that doesn't think I'm off my rocker when I do things like dance, or just get silly.
Anyway..had to share my excitement with my brothers and sisters here.

Re: SO excited!!!!!!!!!
Dancing is great, isn't it? Some of the most fun we've ever had doing Morris dancing is when our bassoon player (yeah, real traditional Morris instrument ), who is a jazz musician, started playing "Highland Mary" with a swing beat. We just started moving to the music, while still staying within the dance, and it was a blast! The audience (other Morris dancers) loved it too.
Someday, I'd like to take up belly dancing.

Re: SO excited!!!!!!!!!
Pooks..we actually have talked about learning belly dancing. Talk about a good way to tone up what I'm losing...not that it's a lot yet..but gotta start somewhere.
Well, I'm even further along. I have 7 of my 9 sacred herbs, all I have to do now is get them planted and figure out where I can get the other 2. They're a bit off the wall for around here.
I got my 'circle necklace' made, and I'm on my 4th book. (everyone else is still on their second book)
I have also written a guided meditation..which was one of our requirements. Teachers haven't seen it yet. I'll show them when they come over Saturday to visit and have dinner.
It really amazes me that I'm this excited....lol. It helps that I am sincerely "in heaven" where my path is concerned. There's not a thing about it so far that I have a problem with, or don't agree with.
Too bad I can't read faster...lol..I'd get initiated even sooner. Well..maybe not, I still have some lessons that really can't be rushed.
It's truly great to feel this free with people I've not known a year yet. I met them face to face on November 1 last year. We has a Samhain ritual and an Ancestral dinner. First time I'd ever done anything like that. G and M have very quickly become very dear to me. Odd how when we least expect it, Goddess puts the right people in our path! LOL

Re: SO excited!!!!!!!!!
Which two herbs are you missing? Maybe someone here on the board would have a start or know where to get them.

Re: SO excited!!!!!!!!!
Pooks..it's Vervain and Valerian. I prefer plants rather than seeds, but if seeds is all I can get..I take it.
I finished the book I was reading for class...that makes 4 complete out of 10 books. Everyone else is still only on their second. The lastest one was the Quantum Touch.....it's a really interesting book, and it's EASY to do. If any of you have ever wished you could help someone with pain, or an injury, you need to read that book. You'd be surprised I think. I've not been able to try it on anyone yet, except for myself. I actually got rid of a headache this morning using the technique.
Just something interesting. Not sure which one they'll want me to read next. Most of the ones left are fairly small, so one book every 2 weeks or less should get me finished.

Sounds like you are doing well and enjoying yourself!! That is a good thing! <VBG>
Ah.. Belly Dancing.. I have bells hanging on my wall.
Afraid if I tried it, I would hurt myself somehow.

ROTFL....Edain...that is exactly what I'm afraid of. With all these screws and rods in my back....boooyyyyy howdy. Still, if I'm careful...who knows.
And yes, I am thoroughly enjoying myself. I've learned a lot from my teachers, but so much of it I already knew deep down. I just didn't know I knew it till now. I can't begin to express how I feel inside and out by walking this path. It's just amazing.
