What tools do you use?

Does anyone one use tools in their craft?

I use some very simple healing spells, "blue candles" and sometimes "insense".
Just realize I have this cute little "bell" in the shape of a upside down tulip.
I have a "staff" that I use to fix my shoulder when it goes out. Hand made it from wood off the old farm.
Also have two "stones" I used for protection.
Would like to get a Broom at some point.

I read this article and found it very interesting. Did not know I had so many simple tools,, kind'a suprised by that.

So what tools,if any, does everyone else use?

My crystals and stone I use almost every day. Candles I think I light one every time I send engery or for prayer request.

I have other tools but they are more decoration then useful anymore seems everything is done more and more without ritual.

Re: What tools do you use?

I actually have several tools.

I haven't yet used the new [sign in to see URL]'s for after my initiation.

I use candles every day. There's rarely a day goes by that I don't have candles lit in the house. I have a charm bag that hangs from my purse, and I wear the Celtic knot/pentacle necklace that I charmed a while back all the time. I never take it off. I bathe in it, sleep in it, and wear it, regardless. It has love, peace, protection, happiness, [sign in to see URL] other things, charmed into it.

I also use incense, salt, wood, water, earth.

When I charmed the necklace, I put it thru the smoke of incense, salt water, earth and the flame of a [sign in to see URL] times to help infuse it with the elements.
My wand it made from Oak, with crystals imbedded in the wood. I have an animal bone that is perfect to hold a round piece of [sign in to see URL] sits on my desk. My Tarot cards are kept wrapped in some silk that Fenyx sent me, in a wooden box.

I, too have a "staff" that I made while camping last year.

I think tools are [sign in to see URL] if it's 2 or 3. It's a way to focus more intently on what you're doing.

[sign in to see URL] said you'd like to get a broom at some point. You need to make it. buying a pre-made one has someone else's energies in it. You need to make one, and infuse it, from the beginning, with your own energy. And NEVER let the bristles touch the ground. A Witch's Besom (broom) should always be kept either hung on a wall, or stood on it's handle. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what that [sign in to see URL] I'll find out and post it. It's from things I've read, and something my HP said. I'll ask her, unless someone here knows why. I think it has to do with keeping negative things out of the house, and it's also a sign of welcome if the broom is on it's handle. I may be mistaken on [sign in to see URL] that seems to be stuck in the back of my mind for some reason.
Someone let me know if I'm wrong.

Saijen, I did not know that, Thank you!
Learning something new every day!

I can find a handle in the woods. Would I need to plant my own broom corn to get the sweeps?

[sign in to see URL], you can use almost anything for the sweep part, unless you just prefer the broom corn. You may be able to find something suitable at a farmer's market or some such.

I've known some to use bullrushes or the stuff on beaches that looks like wheat. that doesn't hold up as well as broom straw though.
I'll talk to my [sign in to see URL] I can remember when I see her later today (it IS Friday [sign in to see URL]) and see what she used for hers. I'm spending the night at her [sign in to see URL] maybe I'll remember during the course of our working to ask. I'll also try to remember to ask about storing it on it's handle and the significance of that.
