Re: Pagan topic: can you call yourself what you want?
In the UK, most people are pretty open minded about religion and basically you can practise what you want as long as you don't harm anyone else. I think it comes from having a fairly multi-cultural society with a lot of Muslims/Hindu living in the country anyway. The only time you are asked anything about it on a formal basis is on the census that is done every 10 years and even then no one questions it.
Speaking of tattoos, I want to get a "Heartagram" on my arm once I get the courage to do it. It is the symbol for my favourite band but is similar to the pentagram:
It still has the 5 "points" but two are rounded so it is heart shaped.

Go for it. The flesher the area the lower the pain. I barely noticed mine. Just a few zings.

Re: Pagan topic: can you call yourself what you want?
Funny thing about the title 'warlock' is an ancient title that does not lend itself to gentle folk. The origins of it are deep into to the minor but not nice darker portion of Paganism. I rather like the wysart name. Just means wise ass, and fits this wysart quite nicely.
(Wysart actually means wise one, but that sounds a bit pompous when referring to myself.)

Don't say things like that I might start believing it. Wisdom is something like beauty - it is in the eyes and mind of the beholder. I am very capable of doing very dumb things, so do not regard myself as particularly wise.

Britain must have changed a lot in the last 17 years. My family has always been Pagan, and is strong because of that, but individual Pagans in Scotland before I left were often targeted by the church and treated abominably.

You are human, and that being a factor for all of us..we are ALL very capable of doing some rather dumb things....like me cutting the crap out of my finger because I was too lazy to make 2 trips to the trash can to toss the catfood can lid into the trash, then get the food out, and then toss the can into the trash! Not one of my finest moments, I can tell ya! LOL. Wisdom is not just helping others, but learning from what you did in the past..be it something wonderful or a mistake, and taking that lesson to the next level...using it to better yourself or the world around you. So, in that aspect, you are one of the wisest people I know! If you didn't do dumb things, you'd be divine..and NOT human. Never discount the asset you are to those around you...and to yourself!

Re: Pagan topic: can you call yourself what you want?
I was going to come in and quote the exact same thing and say pretty much the exact same thing!
We are all wise in some things and pretty danged dumb in others....trust me, I've have plenty of blunders!
But I do believe in my heart that in things most important... that you, Muladzh are one of the wisest people I know.
